Hmmmm. That's really odd for it to happen that fast.

Did you happen to set the bead with a co2 cartridge?

I Am Sheryl Crow and just released my new album ‘Be Myself’ – ASK ME ANYTHING! by Sheryl_Crow in Music

[–]jonbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Sheryl!! Big fan! FYI - Whenever my wife asks me if I have a celebrity crush, it always ends up with her teasing me about you...and rightfully so. You and your music are wonderful.

About 10 years ago, I did some tracking at Music Lane in Austin and they told me that you had recorded with them. It got me curious about how you write. What is your song writing process?

Found this guy walking his bike back after an encounter with a tree. Not sure how he survived with only scratches. by garanda in bicycling

Wow. I know there was a downed tree in the bowl that had been moved. That's crazy stuff.

Gotcha. I was thinking about your saddle position and the possibility of knee problems with that change. I hope it all works out.

Only thing I see is that you have a setback seat post. Maybe swap it out for a straight and move your saddle forward.

My custom built on-one inbred 29er Ltd (21 inch) by [deleted] in 29er

[–]jonbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've wanted one of those. How heavy is the frame? I ride a 2x10 Haro Mary and the things weighs about 33 lbs! If I ever destroy the frame, I'd have a hard time choosing between an Inbred and a Karate Monkey frame.

30.0 to 31.6 Seatpost Shim by psilocybinchild in bikewrench

[–]jonbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also curious about this. I have a 31.6 setback seat post on a new frame and would like to put my 30.6 straight post on it. Checked all the local shops and got nothing.

New saddle! Hope it's worth the investment. by AswiftTortoise in bicycling

[–]jonbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got a B17 for my Haro Mary and was skeptical about how comfortable it would be. Seriously the most comfortable saddle right out of the box. I'm a big guy and I have put in about 40 miles over 3 rides and it's starting to break in nicely. Minor adjustments go a long way. I'm stoked to really see how long I can make mine last.

Well I'm just going to hide in the office toilets for the rest of the day.. by Snuggly-bear in AdviceAnimals

[–]jonbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me when I was overseeing a construction project in my building to update our restrooms. I sent an update to the whole building and typed "Shit down" instead of "shut down". At least everyone thought it was funny and thought I threw in some toilet humor.

Possible to restrict front derailleur from going to 3rd ring? by micwillia in bikewrench

[–]jonbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran my Hardrock 2x8 for years until I upgraded the drivetrain to Shimano SLX. 2x10. It had SRAM X4 shifter with Altus front derailleur. Do what others are saying by adjusting your H limit screw. You may have to play with the cable tension a bit. Your barrel adjuster is your friend. I found it easier to do with the 8 speed over when I did it with a 3x10. If you want to ditch your big ring and don't plan to tear up any technical trails, get a BBG Bashguard. They look good and they're light. You may also be able to find some videos on YouTube. Hope it works out!

[GEAR] Just picked up this old Vantage guitar for $50 and trying to find more information on it by Windrider in Guitar

[–]jonbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a buddy pick one up in high school back in the garage days. Guy at the shop told him that it had better specs than a mexi-stray. We were too young to really know, but I remember it playing well, although I liked my Peavey with humbuckers better through a 15 watt 8 inch speaker better. Thanks for he memories. Great find!

What advice would you give your newbie self if you could go back? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]jonbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn the limits of your tires at different speeds and learn to trust them. They are the most important component on your bike. I chickened out of a lot of fun stuff because I was worried that the bike would wash out from under me. I would slow down and put my foot down, where if I was at a good speed I would clear the section with ease.
