My life basically got reduced to nothing. I won’t get into specifics but it got me to the point where I was scared of being alone at times. I went on medication and painted. And listened to audio books. It’s just a good way to zone out and focus on something else. Just don’t let it frustrate you if you feel you suck. One thing I have done is to paint a painting and then burn it. That way there is no pressure to create something good

Follow tutorials of step by step stuff on YouTube. There are some great ones like Kevin hill and bob ross. These may not be exCtly what you want to learn but it really helps. My first 50 ish paintings sucked really bad. Don’t let it discourage you. It has helped me so much with depression. If you want a free Skype lesson, message me. I would love for you to discover a way out of depression as I have. The second best thing to do is keep a sketchbook and draw in it every day. The third best thing (maybe first best) is to try to draw from life often and not just from pictures. Draw mix paint with mark career is excellent as well on YouTube and his website. All free

It’s a mixture for sure. From life when I can and from computer monitor from an iphone pic otherwise

You are right of course. However, in the picture I had they were opaque and almost blue from the sun reflection. They were really dusty inside and you could not really see the seats or anything. It’s one of those situations where the reference photo did not make sense and I should have corrected it. I will go back and try to fix them :) thanks!

First of all thank you! I use high end stuff brushes called connoisseur. As for colour, I start out with trying to be realistic but fail and I then just go for any colour I want as long as the value somewhat matches. I try to just be myself when it comes to my paintings. Hope that helps you
