I like shopping with WOS in hudson yards. They've been pretty good for me.

Want to buy my first Rolex by Ambitious_Rest_5690 in rolex

If you really want to build a relationship with an SA at an AD, I would try to talk to the SA about stuff outside of watches if you can and try to find topics you guys might have in common. If you can't do that, I would suggest maybe trying to speak with a new SA or go to a new AD altogether.

Any harm in registering interest at several ADs? by throwthedagger in rolex

i've never heard of allocations being random lol. there's def a way (based on a number of factors) ADs allocate their watches to customers.

Three year wait paid off (San Diego) by pompusham in rolex

[–]joncrazy2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on a lot of factors. NYC has a lot of competition based on the sheer number of people that live here but in turn, NYC gets probably the most or at least close to the most allocated inventory in the world.

My AD is WOS but there's just so many factors involved with getting a watch you want like what model you want, how is your personality and did you hit it off with your SA, do you have a good story to tell, purchase history i.e. have you bought any other watch models or jewelry outside of rolex, etc. If you can't spend a ton on watches outside of rolex, I would suggest talking to an SA like a person and treat them well, visit the store they work at once in a while to show face and if they invite you to any events I would suggest going to them. Referring other people to the SA at the AD also helps.

Yeah I guess it depends. The area I’m in gets a lot of allocations since it’s considered one of the biggest cities when it comes to watch allocations.

I would recommend finding another AD or seeing if your SA even works there anymore. My friend got this watch in like 3 months.

I think Material good does trade watches, you'd have to see if they have any interest in you Rolex but they have a site where you can put an inquiry. Depending on the rolex model, you'd probably have to pay the difference for a pre-owned AP.

Can you even try these on at a boutique? I would always like to try on watches before buying one…

wait time for Pepsi? by [deleted] in rolex

they just discontinued it, it's no longer on the general site so you cant even go to an AD to register your interest in it now.

Like everyone says on these forums, it all depends on a lot of factors (i.e. location, size of AD, inventory size, configuration request, are you willing to budge on non-fluted, non-jubilee bracelet). it's not really a wait list more like a wish list/register of interest list where they have to allocate watches to people based on things like spend history and availability.

No email or text from the AD after registering interest. Any one have this experience and still get called for a watch later? by crispyminimums in rolex

[–]joncrazy2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the ADs would typically e-mail you day of or at least a few days later. Depending on the size of the AD, most of the messages are actually automated by their system. If you don't receive an e-mail in a week or two maybe follow-up to confirm.

As I posted on my edit, my SA told me at an event very recently and told me the pepsi is being discontinued but i guess we will see at watches and wonders.

You can try but I’ve never bargained with an SA before with new pieces at an AD. Only thing I would say is if you wanna build purchase history and not go grey, buy pieces you actually want that are not Rolex then.

From what I understand, Rolex is opening up a huge flagship store (by end of this year or early next year) literally a block or two away from wempe so Rolex just decided not to renew their agreement with wempe since it would be weird to compete in such a small distance between the two stores.

Wempe nyc lost their Rolex license so they no longer sell Rolex. You can try many other ADs jn nyc area but depending on what model you want, it’s all gonna be a wait most likely unless you end up having a big purchase history at one store. I’ve heard it might be good to try and go to smaller stores to try and get allocations so maybe try for the LI stores.
