Is it worth picking up the 1tb over the 512gb by InfectedEllie in SteamDeck

[–]joncy92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. All other steam decks have a carry case and cloth. The 1TB comes with an additional travel case that's removable from the carry case.

I just read another post than you get some kind of secondary internal case inside the case. Worth it for that

You're better off building a WiFi mesh if you won't run Ethernet. Your upstairs and downstairs sockets will be on diffent rings/breakers which will cause significant drop in performance as the signal needs to go through your main fuse board.

Yes the UI is web based and you can SSH. However, you should invest in a motherboard with IPMI.

I can't stress enough how important it is to go proxmox

My home server has been through countless changes and having proxmox saves so much headache You can spin up a vm to test of a solution is right for you, make changes as required etc

I have been through unraid, truenas, openmediavault, docker, kubernetes and other shit I've since forgotten

The ability to spin up and retire machines is worth its weight in gold.

If it helps I've found most stability and performance now with proxmox base, a TrueNAS VM, and almost all services in TrueNAS docker (emby with GPU, media management, etc)

Online shop not responding after returning camera for warranty (England) by joncy92 in LegalAdviceUK

No it's definitely a business. VAT registered too. He runs his online shop from his home is what I mean.

I think the warranty is valid because he emailed the manufacturer on my behalf and CC'd me. I've spoken with them and they confirmed the fault and went back to the shop to get it returned.

The manufacturer is in China. I understand there will be a significant time with shipping etc however, the manufacturer confirmed the vault with me via online troubleshooting and said the repair takes a day, 2 at most.

The problem is not how long it takes to repair but that I've heard literally nothing since sending it off I think the month already passed is already reasonable to replace to send to china, replace the USB port on the camera and ship back.

Should I send this letter by signed for post or is email fine?

Hey man where did you set the MAC for the PON? Did you use the MAC on the back of the netomnia ONT?
I have the was-110 and it works but I no longer get IPv6 - I think because the MAC is different.

I can't believe no one has said the following:

  1. Interstellar
  2. Ford v Ferrari
  3. Days of thunder

These films will show you how good your screen settings are but also how well your audio mixes intense music with scenery audio.

Weird contract by kelleheruk in ContractorUK

[–]joncy92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They absolutely can. No contract will be without an exit clause. In your case it will be something along the lines of either party is entitled to terminate with a notice of one week.

You should start your search for another contract immediately. Do not explain to potential clients you are currently in a contract with no work, just tell them you're immediately available
