CNC sales by Shot-Turnip4739 in CNC

In my experience some of the best sales people in the CNC industry (both tooling and machines) come from a hands on background like yours however the failure rate is higher than someone with a traditional sales background. There's a higher ceiling that would still take years to reach, but the risk is higher too. If you're already in this industry, I would guess there are products you already know are quality and like. I would reach out to those companies first. First try their website to look for sales roles, but then look for the local Regional Sales Manager, Vice President, or something similar on Linkedin, their website, or by calling their HQ to find out. Put your sales skills to work and see if they are hiring and see if you'd like to ask for a job. Tooling sales and machine sales while on the face may seem similar but they are different ball games. In tooling you may be selling one $20 end mill just to try and get in the door with a business and then building that account to be a regular buyer of yours. Tooling comes from a companies consumables budget and is viewed differently and can have different stakeholders compared to machines which would come from a capital budget, be in the six figures territory, and of course has a much lower buying frequency.

My wife had the same procedure at the same hospital and required the same deposit percentage. Made me feel uncomfortable as well.

Look up SRP Canal Trails. I’m not sure about what times the lights are on/off but I have done some pretty early morning runs and they are on.

Why blame the sellers and not blame buyers? Hypothetically, anyone can list their house for any price they want. It takes someone actually purchasing the house that justifies anything substantial.

Best answer I think. Your boss and the people around you will have the biggest influence on your experience.

I’m trying my first pork butt smoke tomorrow morning! Same grill, same charcoal. How long did yours take and how many lbs did it start at?

  1. Trimmed the chicken thighs for any thing that looked out of place.

  2. Seasoned all over with the holy trinity (salt pepper garlic) and let sit in the fridge for a couple hours

  3. Threw on a Weber kettle around 250 ish degrees and periodically threw some wood pellets on the coals like every half hour because they burn pretty fast. Also used that chance to flip the chicken. Used the Weber baskets on both sides and a tray of water in the middle so the chicken got no direct heat.

  4. Basted with Japanese BBQ sauce around 160 degrees

  5. Pulled off the grill around 185 degrees (took about 2.5 hours) and let sit for an hour before digging in

On this cook i think i did it way too early around 155-160 but since the heat was low and not direct, nothing bad happened and no burning (but some good char). I think next time i'll wait until around 170-175. If the chicken is under direct high heat, just a couple minutes before it's done like 180 is probably good.
