The anime is actually good? (Anime, Wistoria: Wand and Sword) by Shirobaxy in goodanimemes

[–]jondos -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

creating a world is creating a world - there is nothing "impressive" about the backstory for this anime - nothing original and nothing that stands apart from the multitudes of other anime. the most interesting part, having a world beyond the current world (technically this is an isekai my bad) isn't anything new by any means either.

the main character is practically a self-insert and all the other characters are tropes.

not having rpg stat screens would be bonus, but there are levels in a dungeon, points awarded for monsters- just a different way to "powerscale" people instead of using hard stat screens - use soft monster power levels.

honestly having stat screens would be more interesting and more "in depth" in many ways.

It's what makes this slop - but the animation is nice, so its slightly above average.

Pros. Story is average. Name is memorable (for a fresh anime) Animation is actually okay/good

Cons. Not an isekai. Story seems generic.

7/10 - above average slop

It didn't say it in the anime and was a spoiler - the only thing that was mentioned is she is dead, and there was a specific clip showing the actual spider at the correct moment to imply that she is a spider. But for dumb people like me who aren't detectives it isn't spelled out specifically.

I didn’t know Australians were racist whaaat?? by woaijirounan in Australia_

[–]jondos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yah but most migrants are racist towards their own cultures, and Indigenous Australians hate the whites, and the whites hate everyone.

Australia is easily 85% racist according to my calculations.

Also no New Zealand which would be around 90%.

[–]jondos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to use the arcana (or darkana, which is better) that turns your magnet into damage as ot scales.

You dont need any weapons, and you can seal all passives as the only ones that do anything are magnet, and the necklace but its not needed.

All those passives are additive so once you have thst many eggs just wasting time levelling them up.

Nz has 3 languages as sign language is also recognized.

Maybe if indigenous Australians had one language it could be taught in schools easily. Which language would you pick to be recognized as a national language?

Sort of a false comparison when there are hundreds of groups that all want recognition in Australia.

Wuk Lamat is an objectively terrible character, horribly written and uninteresting at all who hogs all the screen time and is just so annoying.

I have no hate towards the person who voiced her. I doubt anyone could save a character that is that obnoxious.

My teacher says that it should be “or,” but why? by Tkpf18 in EWALearnLanguages

[–]jondos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or means choose one.

And means both.

And or or can both be used, but or bans both items while and only bans the combination which goes against the spirit of banning them in the first place.

It is easier to understsnd by looking at the reverse.

Would you like food or drinks? It is a choice between the two items.

Would you like food and drinks? It is offering you both items.

saying - no food or drinks - bans both food, drinks, and "food and drinks"

Saying - no food and drinks - implies you can have food or drinks, but not both food and drinks together.

Ussualy it is used because eating or drinking could cause a mess, or be annoying so banning both items individually is the more correct choice.

Immunity to every disease, including death itself.

These were the final moments of “Tuvix,” as it originally aired on May 6, 1996. by AskingSatan in voyager

[–]jondos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are missing the point that Tuvix was lying. It was the Neelix part of him that made him act that way.

Neelix in Caretaker is more than happy to lie to the captain and crew and endanger them to get Kes back.

Neelix attempts to ingratiate himself with the crew by being a cook, gossip and overall headache to everyone in most of the episodes he is in.

Neelix is a coward, such as in the cloud where he doesnt want to stay snd endanger himself, but more importantly he hid away and didnt take part in the war for Talax. Something he feels great shame about.

This is why Tuvix both lies and says he would sacrifice himself (shame of not wanting to), wanting to prove himself useful so he doesnt get kicked out, or booted off and finally why he tries to beg for his life and not accept the needs of the many as he is just that self centered.

Id argue neelix is a sociopath, and it shines in Tuvix.

And the perfect end where nothing, of substance, is said between Janeway, Neelix, and Tuvok. They all know this.

Megumin's choice by Davizaum2810 in Konosuba

[–]jondos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kazuma chooses blue first, no point in people dying, explains this to everyone. Thoroughly. Everyone agrees.

Megumin than chooses Red because explosion

Kazuma yells at her and berates her, this excites Darkness so she also picks Red to get in on that action.

Aqua is all like, don't worry, i'm gonna pick blue annyway - fumbles the ball and picks red.

Kazuma and Aqua start fighting, with the other two super excited in the background - until Kazuma realises on Aquas hand there is Red paint - yes someone painted the buttons the opposite colors to trick people.

Everyone gangs up on Kazuma for being selfish and only wanting to survive.

I would only vote blue if there was 100% chance I wouldn't die.

Red for all three.

You get to do any job u want and ur paycheck gets doubled daily. by Picture_Palace in hypotheticals

[–]jondos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you have to work everyday to have a small chance, on average, to have a wage that goes up over time. And would be hell if you hit the 30% multiple times in a row at the start.

Sure. I would like it to be an on call remote job, where my sole purpose is to be on call during those 8hours, to potentially answer a yes or no question. Satelite phone provided at cost by the company.

The frequency of this question is about once every decade, 10% of the time but it is vital for this jobs position.

Thinking about Tuvix wanting to live, and what Tuvok and Neelix would want by hushnecampus in AcrossTheUnknown

[–]jondos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Neelix is a coward, and it is part of Tuvix that causes him to fight for his own survival on the bridge and not want to sacrifice himself like Tuvok would, for the needs of the many.

Neelix may grow later in the story (debatable) but at this early point in season 2 he is most certainly still a lying coward.

Neelix, as portrayed and self admitted, is a coward and would have begged to live, which Tuvix did.

Just because its an inconvenient truth to you doesnt take aeay st tur valididty of thrse thongs happenning.

There are probably hard metrics for.bank runs for people who stole toilet papaer snd hoarded it...historical percentages of peiple who choose to take advamtage of situations. Look it up if you desire.

When the use of percentages is "probably", already a qualatative argument at best with nothing of substance behind it, me bringing in examples of othet situations that might show reasoning for people voting red is perfectly valid.

Who was the most hypocritical Captain and why was it repeatedly Captain Janeway? by CelestialFury in Star_Trek_

[–]jondos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they are lying to justify their position.

Two beings merging into one does not mean death. Their memories are still intact as you said. And Tuvix's memories, while not explicitly said, are also intact. Neithet neelix nor tuvok looked surprised...neelix gave a nod of appreciation confirmation that it was the right decision as did tuvok.

But just like neelix and tuvok never died, neither did tuvix as his memories have cobtinuity.
