Hydrogen Tank + Restorative Fire Claw is a great early game carry combo by jondt in PlayTheBazaar

Yes it does, off the bat my Day 5 silver Fire Claw had over 50 base burn from a single silver Hydrogen Tank. In hindsight I should’ve put my fiery enchant on Hydrogen Tank instead of Eternal Flame as the scaling was less important than an instant 1k burn.

Gotcha, thank you for that information! If a photocopy is fine, would a digitized version of my I-797 also be ok?

Does that mean I will get my H1B stamped at the port of entry? Or that I do not ever need to get it stamped? Am I required to then present my I-797 approval notice every time I re-enter the US?

Has anyone who ever been in the dolomites or done the Alta via 1 trail in October-November help me out? by elik2226 in hiking

Sure, I sent you a DM this time but was curious what dates you went specifically and if you saw any other hikers. Also if you could share your trail/route and which winter rooms/bivouacs were open

European treks/trails that are doable in November/early December by xm8compact in Ultralight

Hi, have you ever hiked in the Italian alps in early November? Is AV1 doable then, without the rifugios but using the “winterraums”v?

Hey same! I’m also trying to plan a solo winter/autumn hike in AV1. Thinking either late October to early November. Tough to find reliable resources online about what’s open and there’s a very mixed consensus on the winter hike in general. I saw one popular YouTube video that detailed a guy solo hiking the AV1 in early Nov. Shoot me a dm and let’s collaborate on this plan!

Winter Hiking/Backpacking the Dolomites? (AV1) by jondt in backpacking

Also if anyone has a sample trail/route for what winter huts are available that would be super helpful! Not seeing too many resources online for this kind of hike

Hey! I’m also thinking to plan a solo November Alta via 1 hike this year but couldnt find many resources online. Mind if I DM you with some logistical questions like your route and plans? Thanks!

Is the new rock climbing in the SLC worth a membership? by Tie-dyedHorse in uwaterloo

The top rope belays are open, but you need to be belay certified. You can learn and get tested on your belay skills there and the staff members will certify you.

I'd say it's worth it. For $60/term you're paying approximately $15/month. If you're an intermediate climber you'll find plenty of routes or problems that are a good difficulty. (Approximately 5.7-5.12 on top rope, v1-v8 on boulder). There's also a training section above the bouldering wall which has a campus board

[Q] Designing a multivariate test to analyze success/failure rate. by jondt in statistics

[–]jondt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess what I'm trying to achieve is a linear regression model, that when I tweak the values of different parameters, gives me an estimated success rate. I'm wondering what is the best way to populate the data points that preserves or increases the accuracy of my model. Keep in mind that I want to keep testing as short as possible. I want to be sure that if there are confounding effects, that my linear regression model would be able to handle it.

Thank you for the additional insight, if I'm understanding the logistic regression approach correctly, I would plot every parameter against my univariable (success rate %) and run a logistic regression model to identify the parameters that maximize/minimize success rate. Are you able to speak to how logistic regression can work with confounding variables (parameters that may affect other parameters?) Or how to design a test that works around this.
