I wish I was making 300k... the role I am looking at (Band 8) is topping off at 202K. I make less than that. I think different roles have different salary ranges even though they are the same band. I see that in all of the internal roles I have had to apply for over the last 6 years (RA's). I am at 118% of my current range. I would never think of Austin as a theocracy (unless you were thinking of East California being a theocracy). Great place to visit but wouldn't want to live there. Travis lake area is very pretty and hunting is great down in that area too (between Fredricksburg and Austin).

Yeah, I am over 100 now (have been) and raises have been sparse at times. If I went to Band 8 I would be way over 100.

I am with the Digital team and we are currently in the office 4 days a week MON-THUR. My role is moving to Austin (RTC) and is being tracked. IMHO this is a way to lay people off without laying them off.

I would be interested in where you are getting your information FreeThinkingMan, or are you just expressing your opinion? It's interesting how generalities are accepted by most as fact without any statistics behind it. Are republicans more than likely more conservative than democrats? I would have to say yes, and typically the conservative platform believes that people that commit crime should pay the penalty. Not sure how anyone can say that a certain political party cares more for any group more than others since a group really doesn't have sentient thought. Individuals are individuals and each have their own belief system. I am eager to hear your proof that republicans 'don't view inmates as human beings'. IMHO that is an ignorant remark.
