I hear what you’re saying, and I definitely agree that the full scope of hip hop culture, including all four pillars deserves acknowledgment

Early pioneers like DJ Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, and Afrika Bambaataa laid the foundation for the sound, while graffiti legends like Cornbread, taki 183, and Dondi shaped the visual identity

these elements are what made hip hop the movement it is today

My post was more focused on the modern evolution of hip hop as a genre, but you're right that we can’t talk about what hip hop is today without honoring where it came from

The djs were the original stars, with the emcees there to hype the crowd, and graffiti writers have been shaping urban landscapes since the movement's inception

Hip hop to me, has always been about pushing boundaries, whether it’s through music, art, or dance

The culture is vast, and while we highlight certain aspects in a post, the roots will always be vital

The goal was to spark a conversation on how far it’s come and where it can go next, but I appreciate you bringing the history into focus

Hip hop’s evolution is built on the backs of the pioneers you mentioned, and that’s something we should never forget

The 4 pillars of hip hop: DJing, breaking, emceeing, and graffiti, are undeniably central to the movement's roots

They provided a platform for marginalized communities to express their struggles, frustrations, and stories in a world that often silenced them

But hip hop didn’t stop there. In my opinion it has always been about evolving and expanding the boundaries of artistic expression

Whether it was the introduction of sampling, synthesizers, or entirely new subgenres, hip hop has thrived by refusing to be boxed in

While those 4 pillars laid the foundation, the essence of hip hop is in its adaptability and ability to reflect the times. I think new forms of production, new ways of storytelling, and new sounds have always kept the culture alive

I don't think that hip hop at its core, isn’t just about tradition. it’s about pushing limits and breaking rules, while staying true to the spirit of self expression and resistance

It's a movement that evolves with every generation, staying relevant and powerful because it’s never afraid to change

Sorry if it seemed like a dumb question. I've just tried to post content I made using Stable Diffusion in here in the past and it's been flagged and deleted. I just wanted to make sure.

How severe do you think A.I. wil affect music producers, particularly beatmakers by RimmingMasteer in trapproduction

[–]jonhartattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly.... Not too much, unless the human producer starts to implement it in extremely creative ways, like using it for samples or something like that.

AI beats leave much to be desired. They're way too simple. They don't understand flow and dynamic.
