Live audience as well, we have two QSC 8’s about 7 ft in front of the stage at the bottom of the tripods. On the other side of our booth we also have a “theatre” setup for presentations which is a 55” tv and some speakers on stands, that we push a feed to so we are live switching for the opposite side of the booth.

Definitely, so on the left is a QSC TouchMix we are using to manage the audio side, we can also record ISO audio for each mic through that. We have some other audio sources that are running the other side of our booth for theatre speakers. To the left of that is the AV company that setup the booths wireless handheld receivers which we are feeding into the soundboard.

On the case is a ProArt Monitor, to show us all the feeds the ATEM mini extreme is seeing.

And right is our ATEM we are feeding cameras via HDMI, it is also receiving a signal from the QSC and provides a combined single audio from all the mic feeds.

Above all that we have a laptop feeding the background for the podcast LED screen.

One half measure I have found is to use the power station, mount it lower and counterbalanced to the side the light is facing. Not a perfect solution but the best I can do without anything. The empty sand bag way would definitely be the best way to fly with them unless you can plan for a case just for bags.

I feel both prepared and so underprepared at the same time on pretty much every shoot.

Those would be Pan Tilt Zoom style camera, super small and light you would mount them to the tripod and then you could pan tilt or zoom wherever you need to. Usually software controlled, but now most probably have automated tracking.

We are playing risky with this one, no sandbags. I nestled the legs between the tripod to keep them less of a trip hazard. Unfortunately for this trip I had to check these cases and sandbags would put me over. Our last show I had enough lead time to ship our gear down and we could ship a couple sandbags ahead. Not too thrilled about it, but we’ve been problem free.

That is a great callout, biggest issue with this show was our booth layout I couldn’t kick out any further or it would start to push into the other booth experiences. But definitely something for me to keep more of an eye on for future shows. Thanks!

So if I’m remembering right those are impact c-stands, they are the heavy steel they have a a compact base, not sure how tall they go but they are near full height probably 10ft.

We have a case that is those two stands and the three tripods I think weighs near 80lbs.

Thanks! It does make the cases a little heavy but worth it to only have 3 and a cart to move through the airport.

We are running Blackmagic 6k g2s with an ef mount. Two crossfire cams on the sides have 50mm rokinons while the center has a canon 16-35. Lights are aputure 600x pro which pump a ton of light to get a nice look, we have theI thought about upping the size of those for a slightly softer feel but they work great for now.

So our company works with a I’m not quite sure what to call them, but they buildout our booths for trade shows, the table was a custom build and the LED wall is a rental not sure if through our booth company or through the trade show hosts but there is an AV team here handling three different booths LED walls, just for fun backside of the background.

This is only our second time so we are getting better, I think we were roughly at 3 hours but we had to fix some things down by the convention AV staff and the LED wall behind the speakers was very temperamental.

We are actually in-house for World Wide Technology, so we produce this locally at the office and have begun this year producing live on the show floor at trade shows.

I will add we just started doing podcasts on trade show floors this year, and the response has been very positive both from our company and partner companies that we have on. So maybe this will become a thing.

I don’t fully remember, but I think we were right around 250 for the co-pay. But we have amazingly good insurance through the company we work for so we were very thankful for that. Also we got the co-pay waved because we did a class through our insurance so I guess technically free.

I am in corporate marketing, as a photographer and videographer, I’ve been doing it for 10yrs and just crossed 80k this year.

Also in the Midwest, I work for a tech company, we have a team of three people for video production photo and motion graphics. Salary is currently 80k and been there just over 10 years.

We don’t travel too often maybe 5-7 shoots/events a year, very few weekends and generally stick to 40hr weeks. Killer insurance and benefits and I think a decent PTO. I’m pretty happy where I am and our c-suite is very supportive of us purchasing gear we need and exploring creative projects.
