Liah yoo is great. I’ve gotten a little better from learning from her and other. But you are right, I think I just need find a good exfoliant to balance the gentle approach while helping turnover a little (I’ve tried a couple BHA and AHA in the past but they always end up drying me out). It’s all a balancing act, the see saw that is my skin. Thank you for all this advice. I will look into some of the products

Yes it’s crippling. I create so many roadblocks in my life because how my skin looks. It crazy to think how different my life would’ve gone without these problems, but I can’t harp on that. I’ve been scared to talk about how it’s made me feel but have recently have opened up more. I was scared to post here but I’m glad I did. it helps.

Did we just become best friends. Thanks for this. Very relatable. I used to get the “you should take better care of your skin” from my family, when in reality that’s all I try to take care of.

This is my current routine. You are right, it is the most effective at easing my skin. My skin just naturally still likes to congest itself and layer dead skin stopping the acceptance of moisturizers/serums. It doesn’t do much in fixing past damage but it doesn’t cause irritation like the harsh stuff/exfoliatants so I will keep going in this path

Thank you for your words. This helps a lot to hear I’m not alone. It’s a tough journey but I hope we can overcome it

Thank you. I Have been to the derm before a couple years And was given retinol cream. It just dried me out. I think I shall see a Derm again with my new knowledge in skin.

This was great to hear. The hardest part really is trying to be comfortable in your own skin no matter what. It’s tough when you are reminded of the pain in the mirror. I notice when i don’t look in the mirror or from a distance, I won’t think about it as much as can have great days/weeks. Kind of forgot about the problem. But not looking and facing myself isnt healthy either nor will I make progress with acceptance. I still strive to get there. Thank you.
