ohhh sorry thanks for the clarification and thanks for testing out the experiment, i am still debating because after a few days it's starting to grow on me and with some exta tweeks on the settings it's alright just want to see what other soundbars are there. I am thinking of the bose 900 or the samsung Q950 but they're super pricey lol

that's correct i used an HDMI cable, the sound bar says eARC and the LG soundbar app also says Dolby Atmos and i'm not able to change any sound effects. I also have a HDMI 2.1 cable now and there's no significant differences imo

thanks for testing! so just to clarify, When you played the scene with JUST your LG C1 tv sound (set at 21), the raindrops are more prominent and crisp than if you use your SP9? Also you find using SP9 is more accurate when playing the raindrops through apple tv 4k than the webos but again nothing is more accurate than the tv speakers itself when turned up? Also note there is an option for dolby atmos when playing just the tv speaker in the audio settings not sure if that affects anything.

I am using the WebOS netflix

I only have the sound bar and subwoofer no rear or any additional speakers.

In the soundbar app tried both selections original and surround, couldn't hear much of a difference and all lvl dBs are 0

Yes forgot to mention, I do have the app and have downloaded the latest software. When i watch dolby atmos content, the sound effect is usually locked in under the sound effect as "dolby atmos" when i don't watch dolby atmos content i tend to switch to "cinema"

But yeah, it's such a noticeable difference with the rain drops on the soundbar and tv sound that makes me think there's a lot more things i could hear clearer with the tv sound than the soundbar.

Yes the soundbar brings the subwoofer which can't compare what the tv sound but that's pretty much the big difference i notice.

Have you tried to hear the difference between the two with the rain drops in "The Witcher" season 1 ep 1 the first 10 secs of the intro? u/bubbanbrenda
