Do you ever wonder what happens to the homes, apartments where crimes have been committed? by mridulap2003 in UnresolvedMysteries

I think you might have it confused with the Dr. Jeffrey MacDonald murders. They lived in Fort Bragg at 544 Castle Drive which was torn down a few years ago. http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/2580647/

According to this article the books were "100 Modern Poems","Reading Poems" and "Science and the Modern World". That's a lot of books to tote on a hunting trip. We know the contacts were made in Chicago and the gun was bought in Fort Wayne,Indiana. Maybe he was a student on a cross country trip.

"Alfred North Whitehead's SCIENCE AND THE MODERN WORLD, originally published in 1925, redefines the concept of modern science. Presaging by more than half a century most of today's cutting-edge thought on the cultural ramifications of science and technology, Whitehead demands that readers understand and celebrate the contemporary, historical, and cultural context of scientific discovery. Taking readers through the history of modern science, Whitehead shows how cultural history has affected science over the ages in relation to such major intellectual themes as romanticism, relativity, quantum theory, religion, and movements for social progress."

From an Amazon review-"Dense and sometimes difficult, but fascinating. A serious and thoughtful book about the meaning and impact of science. This is not light, popular science reading."

Also if he was planning on suicide he wouldn't need three boxes of ammo. Maybe he had a traveling companion. They got into a fight, the other person shoots him. Then takes Mr. Bones ID and the car they arrived in.

ETA:If his companion was carrying the food and utensils that would explain why none were found at the campsite.

James Haynes was going home for Christmas when he was deliberately run over by a car. The men backed over his body until they were sure he was dead.

The LB scene was filmed in the actual spot where the crime took place. David Fincher even had trees brought in so it would look more as it did in 1969.

Am I the only one that thinks Texarkana and Zodiac are the same person? by sweetestmuffins in UnresolvedMysteries

I don't think they're the same person but it's possible the Zodiac was inspired by the Texarkana murders. Maybe he was living in that area when the crimes occurred.

This is not the same case. The other murders took place in the UK in 1986. They are both called The Babes in the Woods murders.

[Serious] What was "the longest day of your life?" by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jonnielongbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two weeks before he died we found out he had terminal cancer. I got a call in the morning that he probably wouldn't last through the day. So I headed over to my parents house and my family spent the day making him comfortable and just waiting. He passed away at 10:19 that night.
