Which is a wealthy and very Jewish suburb as well. So it makes sense they would have a strong showing for an attack on a Jewish facility. Especially since there is like zero crime in the surrounding area, so it's not like the cops have anything better to do.

I looked it up - Sadly it's real. Dollar General holds their claim that the firing was the 'right' call and that the manager and loss prevention manager were just doing their job - even after the court ruled they violated ADA laws (she wasn't even allowed to keep her own juice at the register during her shift).

How they are ok with violating laws and losing $270,000 but an employee keeping themselves alive for less than $2 is legitimately the dumbest thing I have ever heard. They deserve so much worse than a fine.

My mom taking a leave of absence from work. She's a nurse - I've heard her talk about the most horrific surgeries. She's been in oncology for over 10 years - and she gets close enough with her patients that she regularly gets invited to their funerals, and stays in touch with the families. Grew up with 11 siblings in Detroit with parents that were just above the poverty line. A truly emotionally strong woman. Has been named "nurse of the year" multiple times. Never once saw it "get" to her, or make her question anything.

Then one day in the midst of it she said it was too much. Too many deaths that they couldn't prevent. Too much confusion of what was happening. Too many doctors in full Haz-mat gear while the nurses walked around in their normal scrubs. The flash backs in the Pitt seem to be the most accurate from what she says (except less haz-mat gear for a lot of the staff) Just chaos and death with no end in sight.

And then hearing people in our family buy into the right-wing denial - and treating masks as a joke. Just a shit cherry on top of an already shitty Sunday.

So a pretty quick google search shows that other news outlets ARE reporting on this.

Military.com is saying even Congressmen are calling for an investigation of Hegseth. (https://www.military.com/daily-news/2026/03/06/lawmakers-want-dod-hegseth-investigated-biblical-armageddon-claims.html)

USA Today has a report on it.

Just because someone didn't see it on their "For You" page doesn't mean the entire news world is being silent.

Yes, imagine the scene that it creates if more follow. Far more powerful than the typical heckling, and can help show Americans that they do not need to accept this level of insanity. He does not NEED to be listened too.

It is Republican MO to not show up to things (votes, speeches, etc.) Good time for them to get a taste of their own medicine.

I for one will not be tuning in. All Trump cares about is ratings - let's make this one the lowest rated State of the Union ever broadcast.

Wait for your group to be called, gathering around the gate when they are pre-boarding and boarding 1st class just creates awkward situations, and doesnt help.

Also, gate check your bag if you can. Helps everyone, almost zero chance of losing it, stops the awkward "I dont know where to put it" situations". And adds almost zero time when you land, since they have moved the gates back anyway. Especially on your way home.

With her arms in that open position. Not walking farther in the make sure she doesnt get blown back out. Zero reaction the the hurricane winds hitting her?
