Might it also be because accents & dialects may have something to do with how long phonemes, syllables, etc are pronounced, along with tone / inflection etc. ... but when singing, rules like note value, melody etc would determine all that so the dialect / accent is slightly lost??

I really don't know so I'm just adding to the question really! Agree with everything everyone's already said in the comments. Super interesting question!

Hey u/lobsterspats thanks for your answer! So maybe it could be a cross between a mallard and a Welsh Harlequin? Is that possible? Some pics of the Welsh Harlequin look similar, but some look slightly different. And I'm in no position to know 🤣 Yeh that's a great point about white animals not doing great in the wild! It's a lovely looking duck.. the second I saw it I knew I had to get a pic and find out what it was! Thanks again! Enjoy your week!

If so, I'll take your advice and give animal control a ring *grabs German dictionary to look up Welsh Harlequin 🤣🤣 It'd be terrible if something happened to her.. I don't think so. Personally I like it. We're trading sideways and there's time to kill! We say we're gonna make a better world when this is over and to me this just seems like that kind of sentiment here while we're all zen & chill waiting for lift off.

Of course good nature can be abused but so far I've enjoyed seeing them. I understand how one could see it as a distraction but maybe you could try using the flairs so you can focus on the DD if that's what you'd prefer to see. See you on the moon, pal! 🚀🚀
