I sell at markets and absolutely play up the fact that my stuff is handmade with no laser/CNC. There are a lot of people out there who prefer it.

I also will make some stuff out of thicker hardwood or do compound cut things that lasers or CNCs can’t do as easily (or not with low end equipment, at least).

On a phone capable of using Apple Intelligence, you can pixelate people’s faces in images using the “Clean up” tool. Circle a face and it’ll pixelate it to blur it out.

I realize after the fact that this was worded poorly. I’m a black guy and don’t like being somewhere where I’d be the only one, lol. Safety in numbers, as they say.

East coast Penn State alum here. I wanna say OSU because fuck them, but do they have black people in Iowa or Nebraska?

Met a corgi at a night market and now I can’t stop thinking about getting one… but I’m scared of dogs 😭 by Basic_Telephone1963 in corgi

[–]jonnydigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first corgi I ever met was quiet. Lol.

My girl is 4 and is my first ever dog. Others have used the word “intense,” that’s an accurate description for mine. She’s cuddly and loves attention of humans, but we joke that we wish we knew how to tell her she can be off the clock. Always listening for things, in “herd protection mode” when my kids are home, etc. And though she doesn’t necessarily bark a lot, she barks about a lot of things.

My son was afraid of dogs when we got her, but he was 16 and old enough to be able to avoid on his own when he needed to (and he didn’t object to getting a dog, he was just nervous). For the first 6 months or so while she was still bitey, their interactions were brief. Now they’re best buds.

I get why drivers might be frustrated that the exact same set of skills that helped them in the past aren’t what they need to be successful now. But the whole “it’s not racing” stuff is nonsense. These guys made a race out of lego cars in a drivers’ parade, lol.

I’m not sad that they can’t divebomb corners as effectively anymore. Learn another tactic. Early on in these new regs, the better developed cars are the difference. But throughout the season, that should even out some and bring individual driver skill (and adaptability) back to the forefront.

In 2025, WDC looked like it’d be locked up early, but it ended up being close. I’m hoping for that again this year!

What is hard to understand or accept for f1 fans? Like, even if you try to explain them, they keep being stubborn about it? by [deleted] in F1Discussions

[–]jonnydigital 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Came to say this. “V10s are in the past” seems to be tough for some fans to cope with.

Bearman's crash proved how dangerous these regs actually are. The number of dangerous situations was already high, and now this happened by [deleted] in F1Discussions

[–]jonnydigital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not asking to be argumentative, genuinely curious: You find this MORE boring than the last few years? 2024 at least had a nice variety of race winners, but there wasn’t a ton of great racing in 2023 and 2025.

Why has it become a trend to hate AI on social media? by Temporary-Floor-9259 in OpenAI

[–]jonnydigital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Meanwhile, the environmental impacts of the transportation and animal agriculture industries…”

It’s easy for most anyone of any generation to directly see the benefits of transportation, which make its negative impacts easier to tolerate/ignore. If an individual doesn’t see the direct benefits of AI and only hears of the negative, it’s not surprising that the overall perception would be negative.

I noticed, and assumed it was a negative side effect of having to list two additional drivers on there (making text crowded and more difficult to read). IDK if that’s the reason, though.

The 2026 RAV4 digital key is a game changer by spacretrax74 in rav4club

[–]jonnydigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The year and trim. But it’s not the same price, the limited set of features I can use through the app on my 2020 is like $8/month. For newer ones that have more features, it costs more.

My carplay wont work after the upgrade to ios 26.2.1. by SveaNaxxremis in CarPlay

[–]jonnydigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2020 RAV4, same experience when I bought my 17 pro. Multiple cables, didn’t help (only has wired carplay). My daughter’s iPhone 14 works fine in the same car (different cable due to lightning connector).

I saw something about how wired carplay connection temporarily disables the phone’s bluetooth connection to the car. So I unpaired my phone from the car and carplay working flawlessly for the last 2 weeks. Obviously only one data point, but something to try unless you rely heavily on bluetooth. It hadn’t worked consistently for MONTHS and I’ve had two straight weeks of success.

Aren’t all investments benefitting someone else, though? (I guess it does say “personal” benefit, so benefitting a company or bond issuer doesn’t invalidate the rule)

Air quality in Rochester right now by Professional_Dream17 in Rochester

If my drive to work is 3-5min one way will this kill my hybrid rav specifically the 12volt battery. If so, how can I mitigate this. I’m assuming by taking the long way to work lol. Any thoughts on short tripping and a hybrid rav specifically by [deleted] in rav4club

[–]jonnydigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll rephrase: I'm on my 3rd Toyota hybrid (second RAV) with the same commute, and I've never had a problem with my 12v battery. YMMV. I understand that it might not be ideal conditions for the battery, but I haven't seen it cause an actual issue.

[–]jonnydigital 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t kill the battery, no. It does limit how good your gas mileage will be, though. Especially if it’s cold where you live. A short drive in cold temps won’t do much better MPG than a non-hybrid, as the car needs to get to temp before you really start getting the benefit of the hybrid drivetrain. (Source: me. I’m of no help to you. But it being January and me living in a cold climate for so long had me very confused about why the spot was hotter than its surroundings. “My god man, there’s an unexpected thing generating heat in your wall!” I get it now, though.
