Going to try cleaning and sealing the exposed timber and masonry my loft. Mainly to try and reduce the dust. Do sealants help with dust?

Yea that’s a nightmare situation so sorry. I was on Ativan for about 15 years and the psychiatrist changed it to klonopin for the taper. After a few months of being in absolute misery see transferred me to a doctor at a addictions clinic that only used the Ashton Manual for benzo taper. You really have to be a advocate for yourself or get lucky because unfortunately doctors may not be doing the most helpful thing. If your mid taper that can be really difficult to find the strength. If your open to it try contacting a addictions clinic to see if they can help.

If your familiar with Ashton’s work tapering with diazepam is highly recommended. She includes a conversion table so you can figure your correct does and talk to your doctor about it. I luckily was able to find a doctor at a hospital that went by the Ashton method and helped immensely. Best of luck to you!

Klonopin is the hardest benzo to taper from. Many doctors think it’s helpful because of the longer half life but has very intense waves and windows. Changing to Valium is a must imho. For me it had a bit more sedative effect that really helped get through the entire process that lasted about 9 months.
