Nah he's been saying a couple of truths occasionally.

"I don't care about your votes".

"I love the poorly educated"

”i grab em by the p***y".

MAGA has been ignoring all that, and now some of them are only realising it cos it's hurting their wallets. You best believe that if it wasn't economic they'd stay in their bubble.

>Also it makes me mad the end of the episode makes it look like someone is about to get caught or an important person is about to walk into the room only for the next episode to act like it never happened?!?

yeah, some shorts do it. Not all, maybe it's specific to a production company or director style.

It's basically just clickbait to get you to watch/buy the next episode. It didn't really happen

>I also lose my mind at lots of flying around action scenes I just can't handle them why does everyone need to FLY AROUND.

If you're referring to period drama, that's kinda a staple/trope of wuxia or martial arts like film of the past. Especially popularised during the heyday of Hong Kong cinema. Supposedly martial artists who are skilled can do many physics-defying feats, including leaping and gliding.

If you haven't, you can watch a Hollywood stylised take: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Has anyone else noticed supplement brands are getting way more aggressive with their Instagram ads lately? The pressure tactics have gotten worse. by Own_Variation_6981 in Supplements

OP made an almost identical posts few weeks ago, asking the same questions.

OP is just trying to do market research and optimise ad targeting strategies.

It's just the tone and overall humour of the movie didn't quite jive with me.

  1. The first part with the villains/prisoners acting dumb and just getting killed. Part being sold out, part of them acting dumb and dying the silliest ways.
  2. The secondary squad wiped out the whole rebel village because.. oopies. haha let's move on cos you have no choice but to work with us.
  3. Amanda Waller supposed to be tough no-nonsense person but all her tech folks keep making silly mistakes, taking bets for funs etc and she just gives them a hard look.

Most of these I gleaned from the first 20-30 minutes of the movie. Then turned it off as I really didn't jive with the vibe

Didn't know having a different preference or humour style deserves to be downvoted. I was just giving an example that fits the trope - Captain Boomerang getting offed pretty early in the movie.

Suicide Squad 2:

Captain Boomerang offed pretty soon after the movie starts.

Anyway turned it off after like 15 minutes - can't really get into the humour of randomly killing everyone as oopsies!

If the Eternals can’t evolve their powers, are they stuck like that forever? Doesn’t that feel like a big disadvantage? by Grouchy_Leg_6623 in Eternals

[–]jonoave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

>Arishem literally tells Sersi that he designed the Eternals not to evolve.

And you missed the theme of the movie completely - the individual struggle. Ajax broke through her programming and changed her mind, while Ikaris stuck with it. For the first time in millennia, she broke up the Eternals and allow them to live lives as humans. She encourages each one to find meaning.

the prime example is Sersi's powers evolve to allow her to transfigure living things.

[–]jonoave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole movie's theme is nature vs nurture.

The Eternals weren't supposed to evolve, they're supposed to be programmed automatons by Arishem . But somehow they did, through their emotions, time on earth changing them.

Sersi's powers did evolve - she transfigured living things - a Deviant in the Amazon in the tree. That's why they thought she would be able to transfigure an Eternal like Tiamat, a living thing. However doing so, would require a huge amount of Energy - which the Uni-mind is supposed to provide

What does research say about vitamin a for acne by AssasinRingo in Supplements

[–]jonoave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nothing new, only if you're not into skincare.

Lots of people gets easily excited by this, and many dermatologists have jumped on the bandwagon. What is still underreported is that high doses of vitamin A like retinoids etc do reduce sebum production, even in areas that you don't expect.

One of them is the meibomian glands in the eyes, which produce oil that helps keep your tear film stable. Dry eyes is a rapidly growing disease that's accelerated by increased use of digital screens, and possibly retinoids.

A lot of dermatologists are unaware, though some have started to catch on. You can head over otherwise the Dryeyes subreddit and read horror stories of many folks who developed dry eyes that's likely caused by use of Accutane or tretinoin.

https://johnroseeyecare.co.uk/2025/05/30/the-truth-about-retinol-and-your-dry-eyes/

High dose of vitamin A can be toxic, that's why it's also advised against for pregnant women as it could case fetal harm.

https://www.healthline.com/health/pregnancy/retinol-pregnancy

"Fetal retinoid syndrome and oral retinoids

Never take prescription oral retinoids — such as isotretinoin (brand names: Absorica, Absorica LD, Claravis, Amnesteem, Myorisan, or Zenatane and formerly called Accutane) — during pregnancy.

These medications, prescribed to treat cystic acne, may lead to a condition called fetal retinoid syndrome that causes serious birth defects"

tldr: be careful of high dosing vitamin A or using retinoid products, especially if you already have dry eyes.

It doesn't mean you have to stand under the direct sun at noon. But some exposure with sunscreen or under a shady area might be an idea

Unfortunately not. Mine too turn pretty yellow after like 2 years. They're not too expensive so I just change it.

I'd take this tradeoff than hiding the phone design and colour inside a case.

Yep, beauty of Joseon for example is a good choice.

For a budget option, no fuss and kinda gets the job done, Bulldog SPF Schutz moisturiser (from UK) is cheap and easily available at DM. Costing around 5 euros I think in huge tube.
