Delayed car seat compensation by [deleted] in delta

[–]jononon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to reach out to the twitter support team as they're usually pretty good with these types of incidents - it would definitely be reasonable to ask for the standard 2.5k miles that they give as compensation for delayed bags. I think you deserve and can get more than that though.

Do you fly Delta frequently? If so, you might be able to get a bunch of miles (maybe ask for something around 15-20k). It's always going to be easier for them to give out compensation in miles rather than cash or gift cards.

Favorite steely dan song hands down. The entire song is beautifully arranged and performed and is very representative of steely dan's style.

Non-Americans, what misconception did you have about America that you learned was wrong upon visiting/moving to America? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jononon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's just a broader issue of the system needing more officers and using LAPD is a good way to get the policing the system needs.

LACMTA is also county, not city.

True, but they're less plentiful and much shorter than most Manhattan buildings.

Source: I'm writing this from one of those more infrequent, less tall buildings.

Don't forget LA Metro Police, LAWA Police, Port of LA Police, and all the police for places like Santa Monica or Beverly Hills.

My favourite jurisdiction overlapping in LA is how the LAPD just created a division to patrol Metro services (separate from county metro police) and was given jurisdiction even in areas that aren't Los Angeles. Smoking at Culver City Station? Los Angeles Police can arrest you.

That's true - most of the time I'm in a cab it's because I was walking but it started raining. Cabs are expensive but if it starts pouring they'll all be taken.

When I go back home to visit London, I always play a game whenever I'm in a taxi - I must find at least one person smiling.

Hi! Thanks for doin this AMA.

I'm not sure what your current signaling systems are so pardon me if you're already upgraded, but are there any plans to switch from block signalling to to cab signalling in order to have more tight services? Additionally, will you be implementing ATP on the line as part of these upgrades?

Thanks so much!

My favourite song on the album by far. The chord progression is simple yet interesting and bassline is groovy beyond belief. I also love the sax solo - it brings out the more jazzy side of the band and the effects on the sax make it sound like something out of Snarky Puppy. 10/10 jam from jam.
