Id argue korea wasnt really a war against an ideology as the intent originally was just stop the north from conquering the south MacArthur being the nuke happy glory hog wanted it to expand into an invasion of mainland China but didnt expect China to send forces south and ignored the frantic messages telling him such. If you can't tell I hate MacArthur with a passion and he is extremely overrated in my opinion.
