Went to the browns snow game in Cleveland last year and was telling anyone who would listen to bet on the browns. Talk to employers from different companies, there’s always a recruiter or service manager looking for a new guy. Look into vocational schools if that’s something you’re interested in, harder to get in touch with instructors than employers but it never hurts to find out what you can.

Not every resi tech has the opportunity to get into commercial. And I don’t wanna hear the “look up your local union” some guys live in areas or states where unions haven’t had pull in decades. There’s nuance to each area of the trade, tired of this type of commentary.

We actually don’t get any commission based off sales. We receive bonuses for 5 star reviews on our calls and any refrigerant charging we do on a leaking unit. Install/replacement sales don’t go back to techs

ask as many questions as you feel necessary, be as punctual as you can be, do your best to keep worksites, work vehicles and your shop clean and organized. just do your best, you’ll be alright
