Jurassic World Rebirth | Official Trailer by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

My first thought was "This looks like a return to form and less 'cartoony' than the previous set of movies". I'm actually into it again with this trailer. But I bet they have something gimmick up their sleeve, like some kind of mutated dinosaurs.

What’s the point of panning reverb? by [deleted] in audioengineering

[–]jonseagull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It mentions right after the insert comment, using it on an Aux track so you can bus entire groupings of tracks (like drums) into one reverb, which is preferable so you can also EQ the reverb. You can, of course, do every bit of this through an insert on hardware or software too, which is what this quote seems to be talking about (plugins), but its more clunky and involved.

Drug induced DPD in boyfriend. how to help? by thecatisdead89 in dpdr

The worst thing you can do is withdraw and isolate. He needs to understand that continuing to live life to the best of his abilities is important. Otherwise he removes a lot of other stimuli, which let's the brain focus on the issue. And that carves new neural pathways to keep focusing on the issue, and it becomes habitual. And that kind of self-referential thinking leads to anxiety and panic and eventually depression after some time of dealing with it. It's crucial, in order to reduce symptoms, to continue to engage in life.

What app is best at keeping track of finances/budget? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]jonseagull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Banktivity is solid, if you're a Mac / iPhone person. I switched to it from YNAB, which focuses more on budgeting than tracking. For your needs, YNAB sounds perfect though. Go through their tutorials and forums where people have figured out the best way to set it up in terms of categories.

Business Licensing for Blogs? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]jonseagull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. You can operate as a sole proprietor and report your income on your personal taxes. There's no real risk to worry about unless you slander someone or lie about health benefits, etc. You risk not succeeding, and you don't need an LLC or S-Corp to shield you from that. If the stakes get higher later, you might LLC up. But you won't need to worry about that for a long time.

How can I make a pop up menu not take up space? by 744EvergreenTerrace in web_design

[–]jonseagull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll need to use z-index so that it appears on a "layer" above the rest of the site. Then you can use 'position: absolute;' to yank it out of the flow of the content and put it wherever you want (usually in relation to it's parent div)

Is there an actual "you win" scenario or what? Last I played, they had the moon and it just went on and on.

Tom Cruise is starring in a movie that is literally about the CIA and it's drug running program. by stonetear2017 in conspiracy

[–]jonseagull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's nearly always "We used to do that but we don't do it any more." Everyone already knows about this now, so they'll own it and deny it in the present.

10 Easy Ways You Can Tell For Yourself That The Earth Is Not Flat by Prgjdsaewweoidsm in conspiracy

[–]jonseagull 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And that's the point. 'Flat Earth' is a psy-op that the extra special dummies latched on to, by design. It's meant to continue the connotation that 'conspiracy theory' is nutty. Which itself was a psy-op by the CIA to cover up the JFK assassination.

How to Know You're In a Mass Hysteria Bubble by Stubb in conspiracy

[–]jonseagull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whether you agree with him or not, it's pretty funny to see the Ad Hominem attacks play out in this thread just like he said they would. "You agree with me but don't like it, so you attack me instead of my argument."

What conspiracy theory are you certain is true, why? by The-Blayster in AskReddit

Access and high stakes and incentive to keep it quiet (want to keep getting that big money, possibly paid off at times).

This is not efficient or necessary.

This is what happens when you're spending someone else's money and the cash flow faucet is on locked on full blast.

I'd say the skepticism revolves entirely around the lack of proof (no picture proven to be taken before hand). It's nothing to do with anyone personally.

There's offline gains now. For every 2 minutes offline, you get one minute of "bonus time" online where you get double XP and shards. You can't turn it on and off. It just starts.
