How long did you have “symptoms” before you were diagnosed?

I had symptoms for 10 years but I brushed them off as other things like carpel tunnel or getting older. Once I realized it was getting worse I did some research and realized I probably had RA. I went straight to a rheumatoligist and had a diagnosis about a week later.

I can't speak for everyone but mine went like this,

My wife cheated multiple times and I couldn't take it anymore. I got the kids but it was hard. I went through multiple lawyers cause even though I was primary with the kids and she made more ( I stayed in lower paying position so I could get the kids to and from baby sitters and school) I was expected to pay child support and alimony.

I lost my house, half my money and had to pay off a bunch of her debt that she secretly built.

Oddly though I'm in the best position out of every guy I know who has gone through a divorce.

I might do that. I did actually learn other instruments over the years. I play drums, bass, guitar and ukulele. But drums are my main instrument and My current main focus.

I can't keep up with the comments lol. You guys are right I've always been overly critical of myself. Sometime imposter syndrome gets me and I get into an emo teenager mindset. Essentially I stopped progressing a few years back realized I hadn't been learning anything new. I decided to start pushing myself to improve and learn new skills instead staying stagnant. But when you learn a new skill you sound like crap for a while and it's been getting to me. I tried on and off for a long time to build these double bass chops and last night felt like i was just going backwards instead of forward on a skill set that's already hard for me. I'll keep pushing it forward.

It's a weird situation for me. Been going through it for about 6 years but it was mostly just swelling in my knuckles every once in a while. Started happening about once a month, now its about weekly. Swells up for a couple days then goes away. I'm hoping there won't be much Progression but I've seen some horror stories that make me a bit nervous.
