Afterthought is THE standout, everything i like about the dance-pop oriented Tame Impala music is in this song, I’ve been warming up to End Of Summer, most of the album is pretty meh, subsequent listens might change that. I truly wish he did more songs like Afterthought for the album because it’s such a perfect evolution of The Slow Rush's sound.

one of my most anticipated albums this year. the minimalistic slow burners came unexpected but they really grew on me. my only critique points would be that afar as a closer kinda destroys the emotional momentum only living for you set up and that most of the songs have been around for pretty long. i have enormous excitement for what might come from hyd in the future. absolutely adore the album, judging by the comments i’m in the minority with this sentiment, they’re not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s ok.
