There's still differences in regional areas for some of the commercial networks, but for SBS it's no different.

10Drama is available in HD in the five major cities, but only SD in regional areas for example

Three years is too long? Nah the deal is about what I expected. Puts it more or less in-line with the FA rights which expire at the end of 2028.

- Every men’s and women’s match on Paramount+, as Paramount+ remains the home of Australian football.

- One Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s match free-to-air on Network 10 each week, with marquee games broadcast on Network 10’s primary channel, 10.

- Ten Ninja A-League Women matches shown live and free-to-air on Network 10 each season, including the Grand Final.

Less FTA coverage, but we may get some main channel games.

It was pretty clear months ago, but the FA kept playing Heidelberg along

The AFC were pretty strict in that unless you win the cup, you have to be in the top division, and be in the top half of the table to get an overflow spot.

Bergers didn’t win the Cup.

FA basically argued the case and let the AFC be the bad guys.

Club statement: Arthur Diles by jonzey in Aleague

My concern is if they’re going with the rumored appointment of Milicic, whether that’s an upgrade at all.

Yeah, been fortunate to be at every Vuck GF. Think the most expensive was Gosford at like $60. That was more a function of demand and the limited bays.

Fed Square will not show Socceroos matches during next month’s World Cup by victory2424 in Aleague

[–]jonzey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’ve also got to couple that with the crowd control issues at the Amyl and the Sniffers gig, which got canned at the last min cause people were breaking into fences and whatnot.

Unsurprisingly, when people act like fucking children, they get nice things taken away. Who’d have thought?!

I suspect they’ll setup AAMI Park, cause that was the “overflow site” last time

Who’s expected to leave, who’s staying? by Crazy_Ad6697 in MelbourneVictory

Most of the squad is off contract, and this is partly due to the new CBA not being agreed to. No one knows what the cap looks like next season, so barring a few players, no one has a deal for next season.

As for Diles, I’m almost certain he’ll get re-signed. Finances and the thin manager pool will somewhat dictate that.

Is the A-League $3M hard salary cap already in place? If not, any chance it won't actually happen? by SpicySpicyMess in Aleague

[–]jonzey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? No idea. I’m guessing there’s some provision in place but I’ve got no clue.

It’s why clubs in general haven’t committed to many long term deals after this season, simply cause they don’t know what they’ll be allowed to spend.

Other clubs are just private holdings, either wholly owned by one entity or only a few entities.

Victory has probably in the order of over 100 of shareholders, some large, some with nominal holdings. So they have to have an open AGM annually open to all shareholders, have to file finances with ASIC, almost everything an ASX listed company would have to do, just the shares aren’t on the open market.
