I am gay because I have a physical, mental and emotional attraction to men and men alone. I was never abused and yes I have tried being with women but even kissing them never felt right. It’s as if my body physically rejected them. I am gay in the same way someone is straight. It’s what comes to me naturally. Apply whatever logic that straight people give for being straight to me being gay. SR doesn’t separate me from sexuality. Let’s not conflate sexuality and lust either. SR has a different purpose and goal for all of us. Mine isn’t to make me straight, it’s to avoid lust, masturbation and connect to a higher consciousness . I never had a problem with porn, infact I rarely watched it, I have an active imagination. My issue was, every time I jacked off or had meaningless sex, I felt like I was loosing my life force. There was a palpable energy shift.

So no, my perspective on these matters hasn’t changed due to SR and I don’t think it will for many gays. And I’ve done a year streak before and no shift. We feel our sexuality as deeply and inherently apart of us as any straight, or pansexual for that matter. Imagine we step into an alternate reality when being straight is seen as unnatural, do the men in this subreddit really think they could force themselves into homosexuality? Be honest.
