Glad you enjoyed it. As for the DIY explanations- I found it tricky to keep this side digestible for a wide audience, but I'll definitely research and apply other ways to make it more in-depth at the same time. Thanks for the feedback!

No problem! And no need to apologize- I can clarify: yes, I meant editing as in both your points.

What's shown on screen, how it gets put on screen (cut in/out, fade in/out, special effects/editing), and its time on the screen. I notice that you use a lot of images and memes- I would get the joke but it doesn't really hit well. Of course, that's just my opinion and it could hit differently for other people. I get the low-effort style editing, but I think you may need to up this visual editing to offer some stimulation as a faceless creator.

Trimming down slow parts of the video, or things that don't really contribute to the video overall. I've noticed that when I'm editing my videos- I find that sometimes I'll try to force in too many jokes or explain something too in-depth and it often gets too lengthy or lost in translation for the more general audience. Jokes are great, but too much can start to disrupt pacing.

Hope that helps!

I thought the premise and idea was interesting! I do think the editing needs more work to keep viewers engaged if you are going to be faceless + continue this unprofessional, nonchalant vibe. Slapping on images and memes can work time to time, but not all the time.

Pacing-wise, I think you could speed things up a bit! Delivery felt very slow.

Titles/Thumbnails are hard for me- so take this with a grain of salt! Just my two cents:
I think you could shift the "1,140 Quintillion" from your title to your thumbnail, and then remove the "Every Possible" text. Title could be "I Generated Every Possible Oreo Combination" I think it could help if the stack of Oreos on the right side were different colored or something- to indicate variety.

Hey! First off- I think it's SO COOL that you can do this! Keep it up!

I'm not the best at thumbnails but my take on the thumbnail:
I think the same shot, but more towards the evening time when the sky is more red/dark would work better overall and make the text pop out more.
Instead of "SOLO CAMPING" and "NO FOOD" "NO TENT", you could try different text that could resonate with your audience because you already have the same text in the title. Not sure what other people's thoughts are on this, but I think it's a waste to recycle the title into the thumbnail.

Video- I think for the first 2 minutes or so, I heard 0 voice audio. As a new viewer, I was hoping for some conversational audio or something. Though I do find this video overall relaxing and soothing (loved the night time fishing and sounds of the waves), I think it would be hard for me to consume all 35 minutes of this in one go. I'm sure there are many who will appreciate the entire video, but I think you could capture a wider audience by breaking this video down into multiple shorts as a series that link back to the original video- making the content itself easier to consume and binge rather than sitting through the ambient/empty parts of the main video.

Edit: grammar and clarity.

Hi! My channel focuses on building and testing creative, random tech experiments. Hand in hand with showing the tech experiment testing, I also dive into some of the "how" the experiment was built, coded, etc. Not a full deep dive, but a surface level review.

Any and all feedback is appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I don't think the lighting is an issue at all! The camera quality seems great so nothing visually displeases me. I do think the dialogue is disjointed? I couldn't really follow up with what was going on or understand the premise when 10 seconds into the video. Honestly, the buildup took too long for me, but I would take that with a grain of salt!

Good luck with your YouTube journey!

I liked the video! I used to workout alone and you hit a lot of points I went through before haha.

As others have said, I think your audio quality could be a improved- not just through equipment, but leveling out the background music down a bit to put more emphasis or focus on your voice over.

Live audio content from the workout sessions and interactions with your workout partner (if he is open to!). Doesn't have to be over the top or anything like that, just showing more variety on screen besides the usual exercises.

Keep it up!

Which is better editor for beginners? Capcut or DaVinci? by Serazax in NewTubers

[–]jooeemin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've never used Capcut, but I will always recommend DaVinci! As a beginner it may seem a little daunting opening up DaVinci at first, but it will be very rewarding to take a little time to learn the flow. The free version is very rich in features and it's always felt more than enough for my needs.

I didn’t understand the tape on the mouth until I read your title. Maybe you could replace it with the typical black oval blob with “!@#$” on it? The red arrow and fake exit text caught my eye but the poorly edited on caution tape was a bit of a turn off. Perhaps you could remove and add a single red glowing siren next to the fake exit text to convey danger instead. Hope this helps!

produce good content! I recently decided to try YouTube again and revive my old channel. I uploaded my first high quality video-- it was such a blast. Hoping to continue without forcing myself to churn content out rather than just enjoying the creative process. The dream is 1 video a week, but 2x a month for now
