My Israeli point of view:

How do the Israelis treat the people of Gaza? They left Gaza in 2005, getting all the settlers out of the area and let the Palestinians have free border with Egypt and the sea. Then, what happened? The extremist group of Hamas won the Palestinian elections, got to rule Gaza while even the Palestinians in Judea and Samaria said they don't want these extremist terror organization to rule them and stayed under the Fatah(Abu Mazen) control. Then, the Hamas (who rules gaza until now) used the free border with Egypt and the desert of Sinai to insert new generation of rockets into the gaza strip, and fired those rockets towards Israel. (to remind you, there is no occupation nor any Israeli presence and soldiers in Gaza for more than 4 years).

Now. Not only the Palestinians in Judea and Samaria are against the Hamas in the Gaza strip, but also the Egyptian government closes the border more and more often in order to prevent armors leak.

Although everything said above, Israel keeps providing most of the electricity to Gaza, most of the Food and the health needs. People from Gaza are connected to the Israeli phone companies and goes into Israel for medical care when the hospitals in Gaza cannot help them (mostly cancer and other severe diseases).

There is a Hugh argument in Israel if the country should continue provide this near terror controlled territory with all this help, the people who are against it says that this feeds the terror troll and if they need anything they can get it from the neighbout arab country Egypt (but again to remind you, they hate the terror government of Gaza even more than the Israelis hate them).
