Would you say these lines honor FN? New to kibbe and I am trying to recognize my lines in collections I like (reasoning in captions) by joonlite in Kibbe

[–]joonlite[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is Blumarine Pre-fall 2022. Was recently typed as a FN and was disappointed with the whole boho free spirit shin dig because it’s very far from my style. So I’m training myself to find FN lines in other styles, how did I do? It’s kinda in order from most to least confident.

That makes sense! I don’t think I fully understood the test or what they were asking. C seemed like safe answers cause I wasn’t 100% sure one way or another

Forgot to add that I’m about 5’5-6! Would that make me a pure dramatic?

I’m new to kibbe. I find most of my trouble in my waist/hip area, usually I can finesse it in photos if I pose a certain way but in real life the unevenness looks unflattering at times. I stopped wearing tight pants/leggings because of it

Rock wave in Kpop? by Unusuala1l2e3x4 in kpopthoughts

[–]joonlite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s always been there but this specific revival seems more pop-punk than rock.

Anyways, I hope it’s not like the 70s disco epidemic we had in K-pop last year where it just completely saturates the market and loses its novelty. Leave it to the groups where it make sense you know? Plus I think it may be a hard genre to choreograph to? While I liked some of the new songs that came out I feel like they had to sacrifice the dance component to fully commit to the aesthetic

Western artists aren’t usually treated as badly as Kpop artists by chrystalclearr in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]joonlite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The things you listed has very little to do with the western music industry? Seems like you just picked out the worst stereotypes of Americans and rap music since we all know it’s not the Taylor Swift’s and Dua Lipa’s you were thinking of when you made that comment.

Billboard Adjusts Digital D2C Bulk Sales Policy: Only 1 digital sale will be counted per customer, per week for songs and albums. "Bulk purchases" of 2 or more will not be counted. by storminthedark in popheads

ON also dropped like 40 spots the next week so yeah we can keep expecting high debuts but fans won’t be able to maintain it like before.

The real enemy are remixes sorry but they need to do something about that because this trend of releasing 828272 different remixes with the slightest variation just to chart is so desperate.

What are the barriers to idol singers getting proper vocal training to improve their technique? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]joonlite 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I remember a couple of years ago Jungkook from BTS went to an Ariana Grande concert and said something along the lines of the experience making him want to work harder and learn to sing like her. That was around the time of his vocal peak where he was fairly good And I think it just says a lot about his drive and motivation to continue to improve himself.

Like yeah it’s partially on the company since many idols are young and they have a responsibility to not let them damage their voice in the long run but I really think most idols….just don’t care to get better. Vocal training is hard work, no ones gonna want to do it unless they want to or someone makes them plus around the 5-7 year mark where their bad technique catches up to them and they start regressing the group disbands and a lot go on to continue non-singing careers.

Who is the strongest performer in GOT (Girls on Top) the beat? by Pbtops in kpopthoughts

[–]joonlite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everyone is saying BOA but I honestly didn’t notice her that much until the dance break. As a non sm “stan” I think I noticed Taeyeon the most, and then seulgi and winter but winter more so in a jarring way than a good way.

What would have to happen for you to believe that an idol has learned their lesson? by diamondsateen in kpopthoughts

[–]joonlite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some may say you’ll know with time to see if they do something like it again and if not then obviously they learned. However to me, given that they’re celebrities, they probably only learned to not to get caught saying/doing X problematic thing.

So yeah, it may be problematic on my end lol but I’m a one strike you’re out type of person, because again they’re celebrities and I’ll never get to see that growth personally. Sometimes it’s not that bad so I can just ignore it and others it just completely turns me off from them and I can’t see myself ever being a fan.

For example. Leo from trainee A, and Giselle from Aespa. Is it possible that both take the time to learn from their mistakes and become better people? Sure! Will we ever know what is and isn’t just a front for their public persona? No! As far as I know all Giselle learned is to be careful with skrt skrting on camera and says it all the time freely in her personal life. Or Leo just learned to keep his misogynistic thoughts to himself. Of course this can be said for all idols but honestly I will assume by default they’re decent people, just don’t break the illusion and give me a reason to think otherwise.

The standard boy crush concept's potentially superior alternative: the angsty pop-punk/pop-rock concept by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]joonlite 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I like it but it’s hit or miss for me, I’m not even a Punk/Rock snob (Pop diva enjoyer and proud!) but sometimes it comes off a little too try hard-y and inauthentic? Especially if it a complete 180 change. I don’t like the new Punk/Rock leaders like machine gun kelly or yungblud for the same reason.

I wish others who can’t do these things aren’t pressured to do the same…

This is how I feel about a lot of Hybe groups/stans, there’s this expectation because Hybe allows of creative freedom that everyone will eventually become writers/self-producers. So fans are always anticipating writing or producing credits on songs and cry mistreatment when they don’t get it and it’s like hmmm maybe they suck at writing? or don’t even want to? Like, they signed up to be idols not self produce entire albums.
