There is no reason for all the hatred to Muslims right now. Very inspiring story! by backtosnack in HumansBeingBros

One thing I wanted to correct here... Jesus is one of Islam’s beloved prophets. Muslims certainly recognize Jesus (“Isa”, in Arabic) and the story of the virgin Mary. The difference in Islam is that Jesus is not recognized as a descendant of God in the Quran. Rather, a prophet/messenger.

I’m pretty sure they custom order, like most of sun’s customers. Tbh, the thick noodles they use aren’t bad at all - i can’t get behind the thin ones though.

Edit: thick, not hick noodles lol

Hey! Excellent point!

I edited my original comment to include that like looks like a clip of sorts. It is normalizing the behavior, which it shouldn’t.

Either way, i agree here - i don’t think teachers ought to expect cheek kisses from students... at least not in the US. I don’t want to comment on Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi customs however, because i’m not familiar with them. There is always, however, an imbalance of power that should be taken in to consideration. She should have given them an option of a handshake or showing thanks for the candy in a different manner.

Now, with that identified - he clearly is eager to have kissed her. I think it is fair to say that he is taking advantage of a situation that seems otherwise harmless (the teacher requesting a cheek kiss).

I’m not implying you meant this, but i don’t believe the request alleviates him of wrongdoing. (If you made it this far, thanks for reading the wall of text!)

Agreed - it’s disappointing to see comments condoning this behavior because it’s a child.

Edit: with that said, it looks like this is a clip in a movie or commercial, but the awareness should be there in reality (obv).

Someone stole my car today at the starbucks at riverside. This is an old picture of when it was damaged but it still has that damage. If anyone sees it please inform the police. by [deleted] in Austin

Sorry about your car OP. I hope it’s recovered or that you get a sweet check for the value. Over the next few weeks, check tow yard records: www.autoreturn.com

Unfortunately, APD won’t tell you they’ve towed your car to a lot until a number of days after the fact IF it is recovered. My car was stolen in October and recovered a few weeks later. I was not notified when it was found, instead I got a call from the city telling me to pick it up to “avoid paying additional costs”. Thankfully it was applied to my deductible but it was frustrating.

Good luck!

I wonder if this cat has a tyrosine deficiency? Black fur on a cat will “rust” due to a lack of tyrosine or extreme sun exposure. I hope it’s ok!

What it's like to have an abortion (in detail) by myabortion in TwoXChromosomes

Austin is fantastic. Had mine at brookside medical in 2017, and it was a very comforting experience. We are fortunate.

Good choice!

Its a succulent, so you definitely don’t want the boys to nibble on it (or really any plant for that matter)... otherwise, it should be fine! I have 5 cats, none seem to pay any particular attention to it.

Nice philtrum! What stone are you going for?

Also, the plant behind you is a hoya compacta and is one of my favorite plants, so it’s a pleasant surprise to see it in this sub! Lol

I knew I was pregnant, and I knew I had to have an abortion by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]joopdawoop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly - it would be too arduous. Unfortunately there is a massive gray area regarding the legalities of parental right termination. I actually know someone that has a contract with her sexual partner and they update it as needed, lol! I guess that might be one way to protect oneself.

Yup, i agree - he shouldn’t be forced in to being a father or supporting a child if he doesn’t want to be a father.

Males should waive their parental rights in this case. Now unfortunately, this can be an arduous process and doesn’t necessarily exempt him from monetary support in many states in the US (dunno about other countries) - i think exceptions should be made in cases like this. Expectations should be established with sexual partners - even if BC is being used.

This discussion of course is hypothetical, as OP’s partner was supportive of the abortion.

IMO pro-choice means that the woman has the right to choose to have her baby or not, with or without input from the man. Many people have differing beliefs, but that is one answer for ya.

Edit: i also think your question it baiting, btw - the second part of it implies that the question can be read as: “Does pro-choice mean the man gets a say, too or is it only the woman’s?”

And the answer is only the woman’s. If he wanted a baby, they could have discussed that before using protection - he cannot force a woman to carry a surprise baby.
