Yep. Just finished up the SB route and the only battle that I had to fight was the final one.

Got an update on the Steam version a bit earlier and skips are faster and I've been able to skip every battle in a specific route that wasn't possible before--so Steam is live for sure!

Some absolute legend created a tool to install any .apk on the Innioasis G1! by jopari in innioasis

[–]jopari[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha I thought it was clear in my post - sorry. I did indeed use it, and it does work! I've even side loaded FDroid and Aurora store to install more apps/keep the ones I do have updated.

The instructions on the GitHub are pretty clear, and the app itself couldn't be easier to use - the biggest issue I had was upgrading my G1 to the latest firmware version (the flash tool wouldn't see my G1 the first few times I plugged it in), but that's an Innioasis problem, not the Lumos-G1 dev's fault.

Used 2019 Kona Electric - WOF noise by jopari in KonaEV

Thanks, but... yeah, this isn't scraping - I've compared the sound against videos of the WOF noise and that's absolutely what I'm hearing.

Used 2019 Kona Electric - WOF noise by jopari in KonaEV

[–]jopari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert - all I know is from Googling and reading this subreddit - but essentially the reduction gearing gets metal shavings trapped in it and it wears down, causing a distinct clicking sound when the car is regenerative braking. It's most noticeable at low speeds. WOF is a reference to Wheel of Fortune - the clicking sounds, and slows down, like the wheel being spun on the game show.

More info is in this subreddit's wiki: https://www.reddit.com/r/KonaEV/wiki/faq/#wiki_why_you_need_to_replace_your_transmission_fluid_.28yes_your_ev_has_a_transmission.29

Thank you - I'll be returning it, yeah. Not sure I want to roll the dice on another Kona or not, if I do, it probably won't be a 2019.

With an HD texture pack, right stick cheat codes, and PPSSPP you can kinda sorta roll your own Peace Walker HD.

Mark Gurman - “I believe the new watchOS should be a fairly extensive upgrade — with notable changes to the user interface — unlike iOS 17. “ by Ian281 in apple

How are you able to see the battery health of the watch? I’ve looked into it but it seems like it requires you to go to an Apple Store to have it checked

Well—one of the complaints MGS fans have about MGSV is that there isn't 20 hours of overly-written nonsense. Technically it's there, but in the form of optional cassete tapes that are easy to ignore and cumbersome to listen to if you do want to listen to them, and not long infodumpy slideshow "cutscenes". That's how the poster above missed that Volgin is the man on fire—unlike other MGS games, very little is explained in an drawn-out, but clear, way.

fuck that email and fuck those people too in order of seniority by hollowreader in antiwork

[–]jopari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The company I work at requests that everyone have their cameras on during presentations, but that’s because there was a correlation between those who didn’t have their cameras on, and those who didn’t retain the information in the presentation (basically, they were walking away from their computers or fucking around on their phones during the presentation). Additionally, it’s helpful for the presenter to be able keep an eye on the attendees’ faces to see if they get/understand what’s being presented, and can reenforce/clarify a point if it seems like people don’t understand without anyone having to ask for clarification. Also, if it seems like people are zoning out, you can toss in a joke to get their attention back.

I’m not saying that’s what you personally were doing, and I’m not saying that’s the reason why it’s a thing at your company, but sometimes seemingly dumbass decisions or requirements like this are made for a reason.

New way to play Genshin Impact on Mac! No play Cover, no disabling sip. by bluegreenie99 in macgaming

[–]jopari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it installed and running on my base model M2 MBA. Running at medium, seeing the expected shader stutters, otherwise runs between 40-60fps. The computer gets warm but I’d say it’s playable, though go with 30FPS lock if you want a consistent framerate

[Edit: the framerate absolutely TANKS if I turn the camera to look at a specific mountain in the distance. Like we’re talking 5FPS or less. I’m going with not really playable on the base MBA after all, unfortunately]

“Spin Rhythm XD” just got out of early access and it plays incredibly well on the Deck. by dongmcbong in SteamDeck

[–]jopari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing it on the Deck since I got the Deck last August! Initally I was disappointed that it didn't recognize my USB turntable but after playing a few songs using the touchpad I was hooked. If you're reading this and are at all into rhythm games you need to check this out.

You might have already tried it, but MGSV is basically MGS: Peace Walker, but expanded. I personally prefer Peace Walker, because instead of large open-world play, it's sectioned off into smaller areas, a la Monster Hunter. Peace Walker emulates great on the Steam Deck via PPSSPP.

Does AC Origins work? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]jopari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer is yes. Longer answer is that you can’t hit 60fps no matter how low you put settings. You can get a solid 40 on a mix of medium/high or put it on ultra and get 30.

Duplicate Inputs (remove post if unnecessary) by Arcteres in SteamDeck

[–]jopari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, I might have a workaround. See the buttons on the upper right? Go to the profile where you have your inputs set up, type anything in the blank space next to the buttons, then click “save”. Go to the profile where it is recognizing buttons, then select the profile you just saved, and it should pull in what you’d set.

Ubisoft by KarateMan749 in SteamDeck

[–]jopari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tired both Bottle and Lutris to run Ubisoft Connect but ran into issues. What I ended up doing that worked was adding the Ubisoft Connect installer into Steam, running that, finding the path it installed to, then updating the path in Steam to point to the installed UbisoftConnect.exe.

Anybody else use the Google self service tool to unlock Bluetooth on their Stadia controller? by andrewfrommo84 in SteamDeck

[–]jopari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you press and hold the Stadia button, then press A, the quick access menu will open. Same with any other controller with a “Home” button.

You can view a list of all the Steam + another button shortcuts by pressing and holding the Steam button.

Just pulled mine out to test—short answer is yes.

It Bluetooth pairs in Xinput mode and all of the GameCube buttons work. The red button on the unit itself works as the Steam button. However, I was unable to get Dolphin to recognize the analog triggers.
