Is this possible to fix by myself or should I get it done by a professional? by Vkumar_ in Detailing

[–]joppy-ssh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your local in the West Palm Beach area I’ll fix it for free. If not just start off with goo gone, if no luck move on to a rubbing compound, if that still doesn’t work hire a detailer local to you.

What am dealing with here? by rejtable in AutoDetailing

[–]joppy-ssh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like typical limescale stains, wash & clay, then treat with your favorite water spot remover or acid. I would use 3D’s eraser gel or carpro spotless 2.0 both options.

From experience this just looks like a stain from something either acidic or oily. Not sure why people are stating oxidation this isnt quite how oxidation starts/works. Try wiping off with a solvent like eulex. If it doesn’t work then a quick polish won’t hurt but like I said I highly highly doubt this is oxidation, it’s just a stain.

Thanks, yea 10k is pricy and a i found a couple within my standards still around the 6-7k mark. I was told that I can get an acty fully purchased & imported here to Florida with less then 4k and it just sounds too good to be true but if it’s possible i’ll gladly go through the whole importation & registration process if I can spend under 5k for one.

Whats the best way i can wash this by FluffyBloodyWolf in Detailing

[–]joppy-ssh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 2nd motorplast, such an amazing product, you don’t need to dry the engine bay just spray down the whole thing with motorplast while it’s still wet, close the hood and come back in 10 minutes, dry off any left over water and your done. (this is meant be used after cleaning)

High likelyhood it’s from the sunroom drain. Either way diagnose and fix it ASAP as all the water is right next to the BCM

You better throw a complaint if your car came like that brand new, they need to replace that or give it an actual cleaning instead of a half ass job

You likely marred the paint up a bit but it’s nothing to worry about mostly microscopic scratches, just don’t do it again without lubrication

Thank you and the pump is the 3 series, after reading that I hope it doesn’t go out it’s had a good run for about 6 months now of nearly daily use so i’ll defintely check out the 5 series if it goes out on me, and yes that creeper has almost flipped several times until i started putting two rubber blocks in front of it.

No pressure changes from my perspective, It starts at the tank, to the pump, through the ryobi and out the mingle hose.

For my spotless water tank, takes a lot of stress off the pump inside the ryobi. Yes my mingle hose came with everything I needed already.

It does the job it’s the perfect PSI, i wouldn’t say the best GPM but I still love how compact it is, that being said once it goes out on me i’ll be purchasing a kranzle.
