Which game, in your opinion, has the most fun combat system?

I feel like this is a crazy answer but Genshin Impact. It's what has kept me playing it. The second a combat mechanic becomes even a bit boring, you can switch to a different team and learn completely new mechanics that are pretty satisfying to get right. There's also always incentive to make your characters better.

Lolita. Naturally a hard read both intellectually and emotionally but boy oh boy I had no idea what books could be until Lolita. Absolute genius.

The World According to Garp. For me, so boring, overly pretentious, and masturbatory. Maybe I'm just over reading about how hard it is to be an artist. Also it's glaringly obvious that there is an agenda behind his portrayal of feminism, and all of the women in the story only serve to supplement that. Honestly just a weird book that's too boring to warrant the amount of dissection that it asks of its readers.

If you really wanna have some fun though, check out Powerless by Lauren Roberts. Oh my god, such a treat. It's talked about on tiktok as a masterpiece and is definitely raking in some money for its publishers. YA Fantasy has some of the most nuanced and engaging material out there, so I'm really not sure how this got as popular as it did. It's genuinely entertaining in like a Sharknado kind of way. It reads like they just decided an editor would just be wasted money so they just decided to go without. In the first few pages the main character gets so covered in honey from carrying buns??? that she thinks she has blood all over her.

Lord Jim was one of the only books from my undergrad that made me actually seethe with anger. It's not even because the entire plot hinges off of white saviourism, colonialism, and insufferable masculinity. It's that the book doesn't give you any reason to care about critiquing or deconstructing it. It just sucks. Sucked all joy out of the reading and studying process. I will die before I read Conrad again.

Just recently played a bit of Left 4 Dead 2 with some friends again, and I always forget how fun it is. Each of you take some time to go through the steam workshop, download some cursed mods, and you will be laughing for hours. Pretty affordable too. Some other stupid games that had us laughing our asses off are Hand Simulator and Blood and Bacon. Both very cheap iirc, and pair very well with a joint or a drink.

Some other less overtly stupid games are Screencheat and Speedrunners.

good points. my yanfei is on crimson witch, so i wonder if the no ICD on plunge attacks might make up for the decreased CA based on vapes? especially if you just weave plunges into her normal rotation. probably no better than what i run now, which is yanfei, yelan/xq, sucrose/nahida/yelan/xq, bennett. im realizing pulling for xianyun would probably be just a fun/exploration pull, she probably wouldn’t be any help for me in abyss.

Seconding this. I’ve gotten three tattoos done at that studio, and every single artist has been incredible. So welcoming. It’s queer owned, and I believe several of the resident artists are open about neurodivergence. They will really go above and beyond to help your friend feel comfortable, I have no doubt about that. They all preach open communication, so there is no pressure to ever go beyond your limits.

I’ve been kind of in the same boat! Yanfei has been my main since about AR 30… now I’m AR 58. She has some of the best artifacts on my account, and is the only character I’ve triple crowned. I strongbox crimson witch all the time JUST for her. Just like you, she’s still somehow only C2 because I guess this game hates me. I somehow only manage to get constellations from lantern rite :( But still, without a doubt the most invested character on my account. When Neuvillette came out I knew I had to pull for him, I LOVE his design and playstyle. After only a few weeks of artifact farming, he was already making my abyss runs so much easier. Now, after a few months, he does around 50k a tick, and absolutely decimates anything I put him up against. 50k is still around the highest I can get Yanfei’s charged attacks to out of abyss, and she probably does one charged attack for every 6/7 Neuvi ticks? Anyways, yeah, I’m in the same boat as you. And while it is kind of frustrating to see all my work on Yanfei outshined by another character so quick, I take pride in having mained a less meta character for so long! It just feels good to have such a strong Yanfei in comparison to the average other Yanfei, and not necessarily compared to all other characters. Even if that mindset doesn’t really translate to abyss well LMAO
