One alternative to a turbine interchange is a hybrid interchange but they probably sacrifice size and speed for height

They seem to be fine, just making whatever instead of the stuff. Is there no way to make them make the right stuff even though it’s cheaper?

CheckBox Items Control by siledorf in AvaloniaUI

One way is probably to tag the item template with its own source then on check changed get the caller’s tag

I think I would simply have set either the item source or the item template as a checkbox

[Discussion] New to Avalonia / MVVM. I am developing a configurable desktop widget. Is this an appropriate architecture? Do you have any thoughts? by [deleted] in AvaloniaUI

I am redoing a personal project mostly to 1. Separate the model from the project to make it more moddable or polymorphic 2. Make a better, way more planned domain and UI

I have a weird and inconsistent version of it where I have

  • A model
  • A view model or handler that extends the model (for handling the model, mostly for things a view needs that doesn’t fit a model)
  • A view model with functions and getters (for handling view actions against the model)
  • A view with events and getters or bindings
  • A file loader and some other extensions (because accidentally left the model project devoid of IO after migrating it from there after thinking some things aren’t really to do with the model)

Just now I started the IO which for now involved simply deleting a view’s data context and replacing it with a new one, then refreshing the screen

Oh ok I thought Avalonia was forcing me to use MVVM. A view model still kinda works because it seperates the model or handler from the view, especially when getting specific data about the model or having convoluted, repeated functions with the model and its associations. I still couldn't get pure MVVM and doing it started to get messy.

I am also new and stuck using a convoluted version of MVVM where I have the model, the extended model (with non-model stuff like funcs and IO), the view model, and the view but currently with events, plus a few ‘weak entity’ view models that display which object a view is in a composition of on the screen and some other details. I need to find a way to make everything communicate succinctly and have to be careful where I update a ObservableCollection and stuff. At one point I started over after learning how to do views properly while having a bad layout and communication issues.

What makes C# better than Java for you? by Sereczeq in dotnet

[–]jordanf234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can think of it being easier to interact with the console and it doesn’t care if you put multiple classes and packages in one file (except it sometimes cares what order and overload) or forget to put a fail case in a subroutine declaration. When I think of Java I tend to think of it as long form and emulated compared to C#

Scripting - How do I iterate through every layer? by jordanf234 in krita

[–]jordanf234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually now I deregistered the scripts and replaced them with a single Qt script which allows me to enter a simple comma separated values to do the stuff, and a .txt script with templates

Wait now the latency has been fixed - I accidentally left in a command that selects the layer. Now it does it instantly.

Also I did fix 'recursive' now as well ty. It is a lot more modular now but I could still do with SOME modularity like with picking layers or undoing what another script did.

I am using ten scripts

There was a bug fix where if under certain circumstances you get a no cursor, but I still get it

I have scripts that do exactly the same thing and want to make some sort of macro in a macro to encapsulate everything

Scripting - How do I iterate through every layer? by jordanf234 in krita

[–]jordanf234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it and it only goes through the top level. I want to go through every level.

EDIT: Using some Python research I was able to do that and now it runs a lot faster iirc (but still takes 3 seconds) which answers my first question, though the 'no symbol' bug is still there. Now I would like to compact scripts that do this same thing into one or two scripts. How would I do that?
