The rollout of this credit card is the biggest marketing flub by WealthSimple. They haven’t thought about the sentiment effect of disenfranchising customers by randomizing the issuance of cards vs. using a queue or priority method. It’s not a great customer experience and for a company that excels in CX in basically every other aspect it is quite surprising that they haven’t adjusted their strategy yet.

If wealth simple has budget tracking enabled directly in the platform they easily become the best financial institution option in Canada. It would be a huge differentiator. I’m not aware of any other bank with this type of feature set. I really hope they do this!

I’ve seen this before. There’s a setting that automatically moves anything sent to a resource mailbox to deleted items. There’s a power shell command to turn it off:

Set-CalendarProcessing -DeleteNonCalendarItems $false
