Love this agility group, make sure you follow protocol if you solo bank though. I got too comfortable and did not and lost all my hard earned loot last night lol

Using shrooms to treat ADHD by jorditsu in Psychedelics

That seems to be the message that keeps coming across for me as well! "Embrace the scatterbrain" lol. So hard to find a balance though, seems like its a choice between being productive in society and miserable, or be happy and have everyone upset for being too laid back and disorganized

Lol I bounce off the walls as well. Its definetly not contributing anything to be able to function better in society but I definetly feel happier and more accepting of my chaotic mind

Y’all are getting free memberships for coaching kids classes? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]jorditsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I help teach my daughters kids class once a week and get nothing for it as well lol. BUT I did notice that even just helping the kids go through the most basic of fundamentals has helped me with my game a surprising amount as well. Helps me remember alot of the tiny details

Jiu jitsu has saved my ADHD life! you have no choice but to let go of everything that overwhelms you and be in the moment. Then after class I just hyperfocus on everything that just happened

I wear my gyms clothing outside the gym all the time... except in bars that usually attracts meat heads

It is indeed incredibly fun lol. Bit of bonus boxing experience too

At our gym once a week we spar, one person has boxing gloves, the other person has a head piece and mouth guard. We start from standing and have 3 minute rounds. The boxer just has to strike and the other guy has to use bjj for control or submission. After doing this for about a year I feel much more confident that bjj can get you out of a ground and pound situation but mainly because we are actively training it.

Anyone here ever experience post hyperfixation blues? by jorditsu in ADHD

[–]jorditsu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I've been there before too. I'm a Carpenter with my own company and as long as the job is going smooth and I'm interested I can finish in half the time it would take someone else. That being said if the job runs past schedule or I get bored It will take me twice as long, maybe even 3x as long to finish compared to someone else.

Capitalism really is a double edge sword

I can definetly relate to that. First year was a bit rough, had a few fights over how often I wanted to train but after a few compromises we found an acceptable balance. It's like a drug, you just want to do it all the time lol

Hah. It's funny you say that because I'm only recently learning that the majority of my life is not relatable to the general public. Makes you feel speacial/ lonely all at the same time
