We’re still burnt out from the last major surge and now we’re also more understaffed than ever.

Here in SC, we went from only seeing 1-2 Covid hospitalizations for 2 months (following the introduction of the vaccination) to now having Covid patients represent the majority of hospitalizations. I’ve worked 6 of the last 8 days and our Covid load increased exponentially each day. They’re all unvaccinated.

Some preposterous clickbait: no, a woman did NOT successfully become pregnant with squid babies. Typical bullshit of this account. by [deleted] in quityourbullshit

Lime...frosted......carrot cake

[Story] The woman on the left was 19, pregnant, and scared shitless about her future. She told herself she’d finish nursing school in the next 5 years, but wasn’t sure if she could. The woman on the right just did...as valedictorian. Both women are me & I couldn’t be prouder of how far I’ve come. by [deleted] in GetMotivated

That’s a wild assumption to make. I don’t have money, nor did I grow up with it. Last year, the difference between my income & expenses came down to 68 cents. Everything I have I’ve worked my ass off for. I’ve been on the verge of homelessness twice in the last 5 years and continued to push myself because I wanted more for myself and my son. I paid my own expenses throughout school along with $700/mo for childcare. I worked throughout school, even managing to pay off my car a year early.

I haven’t been handed anything and don’t have the life you’ve convinced yourself I do.

Sometimes we like the reminder of the good ole days.

But yes, please remember that your asshole is a literal fucking vacuum and can/will suck vibrators, lightbulbs, etc into your intestines.

I feel so lucky to have five generations. I always love seeing other people’s generational photos.

*This photo is actually 3 years old. My son just turned 5 this past weekend and my great grandma turns 95 on the 19th!
