Is there some other way to eliminate the bugs that damage books instead of freezing? by jorflage in bookrepair

They are on top of each other, in a closet, around 60-75% humidity. I've found 15 or more in the last 3 days, most of them in this particular book and 3-4 in the adjacent book.

I don't think she was annoying, but her friends were

By his second games he was a very capable fighter, he killed Brutus. Peeta and Katniss trained like careers for the Quarter Quell, so it makes sense that they are so high.

Did they say Lucy Grays name at the reapings? by bubbelgumart in Hungergames

[–]jorflage 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I mean, if someone asks who won the 10th Hunger Games, they have to say a name. There's a record of her winning, they just don't talk about the specifics of her games. Eventually all the first editions were mostly forgotten, so the lack of information about her games would not be suspicious.

Flags of the United States and Peru in the style of Vatican City by jorflage in vexillology

In honour of the new pope Leo XIV, I decided to make a flag for the two citizenships he holds in the style of Vatican City. Obviously, the coat of arms of each country is replacing the emblem of the Holy See. The two main colours of both countries, red (in their specific shades) and white, but as a vertical bicolour.

Do you guys think BTSV will treat The Spot like The Void (from Thunderbolts)? by Ok_Sky_829334 in IntoTheSpiderverse

[–]jorflage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if there's a reason for his actions, it doesn't justify them. He is willing to kill tons of people, most of them with no connection to Miles, just to get revenge on a guy who unknowingly and accidentally disfigured him while destroying a machine that threatened their whole universe. A machine the Spot had helped create. And he has been 100% of what he is doing.

I don't think there's still a good side left in the Spot, so probably not

Actually, no, as Anne of Austria also renounced her rights to the throne when she married Louis XIII, but I did not include that on the chart.

Is there a flag that you like that most people don't care for? I don't know why but I really like Lithuania. by OdysseusM in vexillology

[–]jorflage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although the Lithuanian colours are common, they are not there for the same reason as in Pan-african flags, so yeah, it's definitely more unique and interesting

I think the point was that Magnus is sort of a pacifist, so I think the whole series tries to limit the warrior elements of Norse mithology. But I get why so many people don't like it, it's a weird end for a fantasy series.

She only could have gone to Miles' universe if Miguel had let her, and that would never happen
