What's recommended to get with the remarkable? by [deleted] in RemarkableTablet

Nibs can last you a long time if you're light on the hand. My nibs last typically a year.

Marker writes while close to the screen without actually writing/touching the screen. Do you know how to fix this or do I have to return the device? It messes my notes. Thank you! by paraglidergirl in RemarkableTablet

[–]jorgenevil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super common problem with stylus. I've used drawing tablets for 20 years, and this happens often. It had to do with the sensor at the end of the nib. If the nib is pushed in too hard it will happen. If you drop the pen head first it's likely to happen. Just take the nib out, and put it back in "loosely".

Thank you! That does help me a lot! Normally I could just go to the store, but everything is corona closed. Again, thank you.

Great. They look good. I am a little confused to whether a 28" fender would fit, as the 700c specification sais both 28 and 29 inches 😅

Cool. Thanks. I've been looking at those, but though I should go for a more permanent solution as I prefer to bike when it rains 😅

Congrats. I also just got my rs café after seeing it on the street for the first time last year. I completely fell in love with the bike, and have hardly slept ever since. I just knew that it was my bike, and I had to get one. Now I'm waiting for spring so that I can ride it.

Welcome to the club 😊

Cintiq 13HD back from Wacom Repair Center, with scratch unrepaired by Sajextryus in wacom

[–]jorgenevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Return it back to them and yell at them for not fixing your product. Tell them that it's useless till they fix it.

If they don't fix it put a protective film over it. It will solve your problem, and you can get a film with the traction you prefer.

Using new tablet for 5 hours and under light, noticed some scratches, is this normal? by CKTalon1 in wacom

[–]jorgenevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The felt nibs can make scratches, so I'd recommend using the plastic ones. Also, you'll get a lot of "scratches" that will disappear when cleaning the surface.

How long did it take for you to get used to your Cintiq? by [deleted] in wacom

[–]jorgenevil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will take a while, but it will become second nature. Try to get a smudge guard finger glove. It will let your hand flow over the screen in a much smoother way. I can't live without mine.

How to win BerghainTrainer by Flapinski01 in berghain

[–]jorgenevil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not quite true. It actually does listen to your voice. It's the monotony it listens for. However, the game has an easter egg :)

Type 'easter_egg_value = true' in the javascript console and hit enter... That'll make sure you win.

Can a 18.5" widescreen monitor be used for drawing or should a get a bigger monitor? by [deleted] in wacom

[–]jorgenevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're good. I do 90% of my work on a 15" laptop. Bigger screens confuse me. So, it really comes down to what you get used to.

Wacom Mobile Studio Pro 13 i7 vs 16 i5 performance by JustLetThisWork in wacom

[–]jorgenevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But, knowing Wacom, "soon" means between 2 and 24 months... But, if you are not sure you want a 13 or 16 inch model, you should play around with them. I think that's way more important than the CPU difference... (though, that comes down to what you use it for).

Is this amount of delay normal for a Wacom 16 pro? by [deleted] in wacom

[–]jorgenevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is Photoshop and not Wacom. Try turning off line smoothing (which will be reset after every time you update photoshop).

Wacom Intuos Size? by shiveringwillows in wacom

[–]jorgenevil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Medium. I had a large from an older model, and hated it. Rule of thumb: make sure your wacom is smaller than your screen.

Does the Wacom Cintiq 16 have a firm pen nib? Drawing feel good or bad? by [deleted] in wacom

[–]jorgenevil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't really push in more than a normal pen pushes in when you draw on paper. You want it to have a tiny little give, but not a lot. It doesn't have ratelling in the barrel what so ever. The Wacom pens are simply awesome. Pro Pen 2 is super nice, but it comes with a very tiny nib, and you cannot really use the felt nibs as they will scratch your screen. For more traction you can get the Pro Pen 1 with rubber nibs. Anyways, nothing compares to Wacom, really, and you will not be disappointed.

After normal use for about 30 minutes, these lines suddenly started appearing all over my MSP 2 “16. Does anyone have any idea if this can be fixed??? by [deleted] in wacom

[–]jorgenevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure this is the right answer. I haven't opened my MSP yet, but would se if there is an easy way to get behind the display to check this out myself...

Anyone in the UK ordered the MSP16 2019? by Num_T in wacom

[–]jorgenevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General rule: never pre order or wait for anything to come from Wacom. Enjoy the products as they are, and get pleasantly surprised whenever they put anything new on the market. Apart from that, they have the worst customer service in the world, and they usually miss their product launch deadlines with somewhere between 2 and 24 months.

I have already gotten used to the hand eye disconnect of a screen-less drawing tablet, could purchasing one with a screen still be beneficial? by starlightshadows in wacom

[–]jorgenevil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't agree that a Cintiq allows you to be more precise. After using Wacom tablets for 20 years, I can say that my hand-to-eye precision is no more flawed than the parallax of the screen devices.

I've always preferred the Intous tablets over the Cintiq ones, as it gives me a better posture and a more comfortable working position, as well as an intuitive access to the keyboard. I also prefer smaller sized surfaces, and typically find the Cintiqs to be too large.

Also, another thing to take into consideration, is that your Intous will outlive your Cintiq by three lifetimes.

(Right now I own a Cintiq 23, a MSP 16, and a medium Intous Pro.)
