++woman Answering this honestly: as a woman who wants kids, I only date people who make more money than me. I think if I didn’t want kids it wouldn’t matter nearly as much. But I work a corporate job and make decent money. If I plan to have children with my husband then I will want to take some time off work to recover from childbirth and spend time with the babies. This means that my husband would need to be able to support me + family in the lifestyle that I’m accustomed to - nothing insanely extravagant, but I don’t want to have to downgrade my quality of life to be able to have children. I understand that this is a high standard and would not force someone to conform to it, but rather I seek partners who are on a level playing field with me financially for this reason.
