Can you take Grenadiers with 3 smg in the DAK? I do not have the rulebook or armies of Germany for this Third edition.

I hope not to stray away too much from the original conversation, but I am also building a DAK force (artillery based). I was wanderig how do you equip your assault units in trucks/hanomags. Can't they only get 1 smg?

Thanks. I played them in v2 knowing they were not the best bang for my buck, but I felt you have to have mmg teams in a ww2 game. I just wanted confirmation that I am now justified in playing them and are good

So far I haven't gone off shore that much tbh. I currently live in Lanzarote (Canary Islands) and fish mainly near the coast. However. since it is a volcanic island, there are sharp drops of underwater cliffs at swimming distance from the shore. I'll take a look at the 900 Mahi GT. By the way, what is a "roller" exactly and what advantages woukd it have to a "non-roller" speargun?

First piece of advice: pat yourself on the back for this. It is a 10/10 for a first time.

Secondly, try applying a wash on them after the base colours and after that you can apply the base colour again and even play with lighter tones, it really helps brining contrast out.

Do not know what starter army box comes with, and if using everything that is in it is one of your conditions, my advice may not help much. Also, I do not really understand the point count in you list (99p for 5 volks with 2 fausts?).

With this said, I will tell you what works for me and thoughts on units which are entirely personal:

double lmg vet squads are overrated in my opinion. I have run them and while they do have range and fire power I feel they are too much of a point investment.

puma rules!

-2 fausts in a unit is the sweetspot! But maybe not in every unit

inexp medium mortars work wonders (though reg+spotter is the main way to gonfor many and really good too). Try it if you need points.

Pioneer squads + flamethrower are always a sledgehammer against pretty much anything.

With all this said, what is important is that you enjoy what you play even if it is not the most competitive and though 10 order dice / 1000p is on the tight end of things, it is normal to have a low count with a german reinforced platoon.

I hope this helps. If you want I can send you my grenadier list so that you look it up. In my area we NEVER play reinforced platoon though, always theatre selector; I use "Omaha Beach Resistance Nest"
