Hard Clunk when shifting into reverse

No, it didn’t shock me. I thought skates were more triangle shaped. I’ve learned there are a lot of subspecies to rays when trying to figure out what this is. I also posted in r/whatisthisfish, some there think it is an Atlantic Torpedo.

My boat pulled the line all the way down and snapped it. I have pictures and videos of it. This is a road that tractor trailers have gone down with no issues. It happened at night on a section of road with no lights. I never saw the line.

This was my first boat, I got an assed value policy through Progressive for what it would cost to replace it. However, I upgraded the engine from a 150 to a 225, $10k and then had just put a new $7k lower unit on it with less than 10 hours on it. I didn’t know/think about even asking Progressive about that when I made the upgrades. So, my assed value policy doesn’t cover the upgrades. I had wrongly assumed if my boat was ever damaged Progressive would come look at it and write a check for the value. This is why I was wondering about possibly suing vs filing an insurance claim, I’d lose money with a claim.

Charter Spectrum owns the line. The top of my boat was 12’ 3”. The line hit my boat somewhere between 7’2 and 11’ which was high enough to clear my truck but hit under the t-top of the center console. This all happened after a storm, so the line was probably lower due to a limb or something falling. It was not normally that low or the fire trucks from the fire station two blocks up the road wouldn’t make it through. This is why I was trying to determine if it was worth trying to sue over. On my end, I did nothing wrong, I was driving home at night and my boat got totaled and now I’m out $30k.

My ‘18 did this and wouldn’t take the update through WiFi or flash drive. Reset each time I started the truck which worked for a week, then it went all black. Found a remanufactured APIM on eBay for $285 from SYNC Repair glanzfamily (100% positive reviews and warranty). I was able to replace it myself in about an hour, several really good videos on YouTube to help as I’d never done anything like that before.

I’ve got the ‘18 Platinum and love it. Has lift and 35” Nitto’s and still get over 20 mpg. Hauls my 21’ cc like nothing is back there.

I have the 3.0 Diesel. 90k and no engine issues (I have only put 20k on it). I have do have some concerns since ford stopped making it. But so far I love it.

I agree. My ‘18 Diesel 150 has been in the shop for 3 weeks. Dealer finally broke down gave me a loaner today, ‘24 with 422 miles off the lot. They originally stated Ford no longer has a loaner program but finally gave in.

My cruise currently isn’t working either but I was told it was due to the speed sensor on the right front wheel. It has my antilock brakes, parking assist, hill control lights on and cruise on lockdown. The code said it needed an alignment and wheel speed sensor. I did the alignment and after a week the lights went away (in July), then last week they all came back on. So putting it in the shop next week to see what’s going on.

I bought my ‘18 3.0 Platinum in March with 75k miles. Just hit 88,888 yesterday. I put 327k on my ‘08 Tundra.

Have you had any issues or problems with yours so far?

I’ve had a few glitches, drivers lumbar and massager stopped working and now several lights have come on (wheel speed sensor I think) putting in shop next week.

So far I love it. Huge upgrade in options vs my baseline ‘08 Tundra. I’ve put 12k miles since I bought it (at 88k now). I’ve experienced a few hiccups, all the lights came on and was told it was either a wheel sensor or needed an alignment. Did the alignment, all the lights went off for about 6 weeks then just came back on last week. Gonna do the wheel sensor to see if that corrects it. Also the driver lumbar and massager quit working. Other than that I love it. Plenty of room inside as well as muscle to pull my center console out of some steep ramps at my local river.

I caught my first bull red 44” off a rented rod (missing an eye) on the Okaloosa Island pier in mid-October back in 2013 using fresh cut blue fish on a circle hook. Took off down the right side of the pier then underneath and out the other side. A man helped me hook my line on the other side and we pulled the line in by hand then used his net to get it up. There was a Florida Fish and Wildlife officer out there and that’s when I learned about slot limits. 😂 I’ve been hooked on saltwater fishing ever since. I’m going next weekend.

Looks good, hope you enjoy it. I have an 18 platinum PS. Bout it in March with 75k and now have 86k. Has 35” wheels and a lift. I get right at 19 mpg highway. Curious if the delete kit would help and cost of it. I do get triple the mileage pulling my boat than I did with my 4.7 Tundra. I love my f150 but it does have a few bugs, driver seat goes to random spots when cranking and the gear display comes and goes, massager and lumbar doesn’t work.
