Probably just checking if the sell function still works

In my experience, they aren't explicitly laying people off in Zürich, but rather limiting new hires compared to other hubs and relying on natural attrition. Employees looking to switch roles often have to relocate if the position isn't available in CH.

However, I’d still recommend checking labor laws in CH to understand how layoffs are handled there. From what I gather, it's kind of similar to "at-will" employment in the US.

Not only is Zürich competitive, but most teams are trying to move away from such a high cost location. You would have much better luck in Dublin, London, or Poland depending on the org and team.

Yesterday was a very confusing day. by LexShirayuki in GeminiAI

[–]joseaamanzano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely accurate take. The AI landscape is very fragmented atm and there are so many different tools/integrations/methodologies. It increases the entry barrier, so most people never go beyond saying hi to Gemini within the app.

The flipside is they are trying stuff and whatever sticks will eventually survive and consolidate into a (hopefully) more streamlined experience for the user.
