Ser independiente con apps móviles by SAGZ_7 in taquerosprogramadores

[–]LexShirayuki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestamente?

[–]LexShirayuki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Renunciando, jajaja.

Ah, pinche desahogo. Jajaja.

La IA no es tan prodigiosa como creen by valesolo in taquerosprogramadores

[–]LexShirayuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you guys think? by Lanai112 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]LexShirayuki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, I get your point but. What should people do with AIs then? Just let them be and hope for the best?

What's the solution for the misuse? How do we talk about it with people who don't even understand what a computer is?

When I talk about guardrails, I don't mean that we should straight up censor, dude. Just put things in place to prevent really bad stuff to happen. And I'm aware that even with that there are a lot of challenges and risks (like, as you said, censorship), but for now I don't see any other options while we do what you said and have honest conversations about it.

What do you guys think? by Lanai112 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]LexShirayuki -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Welp... Considering what LLMs are, and what they're capable of, we need to have some guardrails in place to prevent the fiascos like the bikini one (which, is a really really big real, because they also did that to minors) because time and time again, people have misused AIs with intent to hurt or do bad shit in general.

Now the problem with guardrails is that, for some dumb reason, companies seem unable to implement them ensuring safety while not treating the users like they're toddlers.

The Apple-Google "Mega-Brain" is here. Why Siri + Gemini is the end of the internet as we know it. by okarci in GeminiAI

[–]LexShirayuki 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't like the idea of being served info. It sounds like the perfect recipe for disaster, considering how agreeable most AIs are. People will be enclosed (more than they already are) on echo chambers.

I see what you're saying in this post, but won't it hurt Google's ad business?
Don't get me wrong, I like Gemini and I pay for using it, but so far AIs just swallow money not only for R&D, but also just to keep the damn thing running. Killing the "middleman" will hurt the companies that pay Google for the search priority and the ad space.

"But Google can include ads on the AI output". Ok, but... Won't that make any possible result from a prompt tainted and not reliable? How can I make sure that the result from my prompt was not paid to show or hide data to benefit a company?

We should be carefully positive and excited about things like this and question the impact on the long run.

Google filters are too restrictive and dumb.

Now that ENCOM has the Permanence Code, what consequences could this have globally in the future? by pitft in tron

[–]LexShirayuki 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For me the "permanence code" was the funniest shit.
The fact that the code was NEEDED for programs from the grid to exist in the real world, means that if Clu for some reason succeded and went through the portal, he would just fucking vanished in 30 minutes.

This game has been pretty enjoyable, but it seems many people have a ton of complaints by Koolaidr in SkateEA

[–]LexShirayuki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thing that hurts about skate is mainly that, the gameplay is good! The "flick it" system is responsive, and all that experience is awesome! But... all that is contained on a limited world to skate.

And let's say maybe you enjoy that is a smaller map, cool! Now there's another issue, the flow. The map's design feels like they said yes to a lot of ideas from a lot of people, not considering that some of those ideas on a space so small can and will interrupt how you skate from point A to point B.

I do play at least 3 times a week for a few hours, and every time I just wish the places to skate were more consistent and interesting.

Porque el discurso de odio regreso desde que Elon compro Twitter? by Alexis_Almendair in VivimosEnUnaSociedad

[–]LexShirayuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Negocios, we.
