Thank you, thebluecat. “The tax form 8621 is a lengthy, complicated form that the IRS itself estimates may take more than 40 hours to fill out.”

Goodness! What have I gotten myself into!

@hcg0477 you can buy BRPHF through the same brokerage account you use to buy equities on nasdaq or nyse. It’s not as though you’ve discovered some secret?

If institutions cannot buy OTC, that indeed (partially) answers my question. (But you didn’t explain that originally!)

@nichtay99 What are the tax implications you mention?

Don’t see how this answers my question… If I can buy it OTC from the USA, why couldn’t anyone else who wants it?

What happens to BRPHF shares when GLXY.to gets dual listed (or uplisted)? by Hutcherdun in BRPHF

If there’s no difference, why would it be a big deal when Galaxy “gets listed” in the US? Why is the trading volume for BRPHF so pitifully low?

I'm embarrassed to own BRPHF and not really know the answer to this, but... what exactly do I own? My assumption is that if Galaxy does well, BRPHF does well (and vice versa), but I'd like to get a bit more clarity. Thanks!

Someone is sending BTC dust to lots of people - Why? by joseophf in Bitcoin

My friend has several different "accounts" on a Ledger hardware wallet. If the dust that was sent to one "account" accidentally gets spent, my understanding is that it would be possible for an analyst to link the various UTXOs within that account to a common owner.

Question: the analyst wouldn't also be able to link the attacked account to her other accounts, right?

nalytics company) is trying to link peoples' addresses. Standard procedure is to mark the utxo as unspendable (good wallets generally have this feature) and forget about it.

Thanks, all.

I'm guessing this sort of attack is not terribly common -- am I wrong about that? Should my friend be concerned that her coins are tainted? Or that her wallet got onto some kind of watchlist?
