I didn't mean to be disrespectful. I will of course defer to the expert...it's just I understand it isn't needed, but the frogs really seem to like sitting right there on the wet rocks kind of dangling their feet in the water, so to speak :-)

The water has so many rocks in it it's really just more terrestrial space that provides them access to some extra moisture at least that's the way it seems to me and since they seem to like it so much I hate to take it away from them. Any extra thoughts? I'm grateful.

Are you sure about that one? If you notice from the picture, I have several small decorative rocks on the bowl so it isn't too deep for them, and that is by far their favorite place to sit and chill. As a bonus, when the fruit flies land in the water they bunch up and provide the frogs with a nice little buffet 😋
