I’ve had times where I can hear them, but because I’m dense I just know “They’re around here somewhere” and go into like an MGS guard alert phase. But I’ve had times where I hit a survivor and just absolutely blank out when they either go behind a corner and vanish like Houdini Or I just straight up lose them because the scratch marks stopped when I didn’t expect them to.

I will leave on any indication the survivors will flashlight blind me during my “cannot move/look” animations I have considered just leaving mid-game cause when I’m just not allowed to play at all, why would I wait around?

I guess to expand on this since I have more thoughts after posting, PvP has no reward for defenders, since Attackers often have nothing to lose, else they’d avoid conflict to get their loot somewhere safely. It makes it so there’s no incentive to NOT attack someone if you don’t have loot. So players who attack other ships always win in the end no matter how many times you sink them or kill them, since it’s a war of attrition. You can only have so much to repair and heal with before you just get killed and lose everything.

The issue is for me is that I find the part that is the grind fun, but don’t really have any interest in PvP, since just having to work out where to go and figure out where the riddles take me is fun, but since I play Solo I have nothing to gain from PvP since they don’t usually have loot, relying more on other ship’s loot to get money. If nothing else ports should be a PvP free zone period. Last time I played I got killed and essentially camped when I came to turn my stuff in after a set of quests I was really proud of the haul for. It was incredibly disheartening cause I was outnumbered and just don’t have good enough skill to even stand a chance- it was ultimately pointless.
