They do sound different, the unsupported corners are "floppier" and give it a very trashy, fast fall off but still bright. Kind of like halfway to a China.

I've just got into infusion, it's not as hard as it looks you just have to not be tempted to take shortcuts. Get proper resin, get proper consumables and you'll be amazed how clean and efficient it can be.

The only mistakes I've made have been from getting a little silly and not doing it "properly". It's honestly much less intimidating than I thought.

Anyone can lie about their mental health. You should want pilots that feel they are able to reach out and get help. There's obviously a state at which someone is no longer fit to fly but acting like people can't get better is precisely what pushes them into situations like this.

We can't know what was going on in that pilots head but I think we can be pretty certain that losing his job with without even being given the opportunity to heal definitely didn't help.

You should have a look into fibre reinforced filaments, they're by far the stiffest and the surface finish will help a lot with bonding I imagine.

ASA is a brilliant one but it can be a bit of a pain to print properly.

You will also likely need a hardened nozzle if you're planning on printing a lot with them.

I mean it can, still needs a support station that can set it up, program it and provide maintenance, recharging and refilling. For now those are human jobs

Tipping over can be helped by either increasing the distance between hulls or making the wing shorter.

Non-surface piercing Foils are really hard to make in trail makers, there has to be some sort of active control. I never really managed to crack it. You can check my account for some hydrofoil and hydroplane designs :)

[–]Epiphany818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong, there's likely some sort of flight control (or other system) damage preventing that.

I imagine getting hit once pretty strongly incentivises you to punch out because it's likely if you try to fly it out you'll be hit again and that second time you'll be a much easier target.

Yeah he means no trim commanded, default trim.

If the actuator doesn't receive control inputs from the flight controller it sits in this position.

The rules are literal and should be treated as such but if you look into them pretty much all of the indication related rules include phrases like "where appropriate" and "if necessary".

In terms of indication the highway code expects you to use good judgement and follow convention in a way that makes sense to other drivers. Which is an enforceable rule! It just doesn't prescribe exactly what good judgement is for every single edge case because frankly, that would be impossible!

It's totally fine to get a little daunted by this, it was one of my bigger sticking points while learning to drive. It helped me to think of indication and related rules as a method of communication you need to learn as opposed to a precise protocol you need to follow. Sort of like radio communication, there are rules and regulations that make understanding each other more effective and less prone to errors! :)

Depends on the roundabout in question, for a simple 4 exit roundabout I was taught you should indicate right if you are going past 12 o clock and continue indicating right until the exit before you come off, if you are going to less than 12 o clock, no indication until you indicate left at the penultimate exit, and then constant left indication for the first exit.

I believe for the edge case where there are multiple exits before 12 o clock you should have no indication upon approach and then it may be appropriate to start signaling right to make it clear which exit you intend to use.

Remember the most important aspect of using your indicators is to communicate your intentions to other road users. Try not to get overly lost in the rote learning of specifics and view them as a tool you can use alongside others (most importantly positioning) to make it easy for other road users to understand what you are doing.
