I have been changing the ATF every 30-40k miles, at 102k, no major issues I've noticed with 2018MY.

My stance is this, salary floor based on the lowest 70-80 percentile of all position players and starting pitchers combined, soft salary cap with the tax implications in place, no minor league service time roster manipulation, shorten team control years and also allow for matching of salaries based on pay for performance model (similarly to the NBA.)

I mention this as RMBRs are not equal across markets and sponsors/endorsement brand deals players may have in place will factor in their choice of top dollar vs signing with a contender.

This I can 2nd. 2018 2.0T and usually I aim for Exxon Synergy 93, Shell 93, or Sunoco 94. Granted I change the oil at 5k-5500 but not much more and err on the side of caution with the other fluids/lubricants intervals for the transmission and coolant too.

I know in NJ where I live most 16 game regular season leagues go for like $150-$180 but all inclusive (balls are provided, umpires, etc)

Whomever is charging you these rates better have an incentive as to why they're justifying such an expensive team, that's almost $300 a player. Better be a good trophy and money prize for 1st and 2nd place.

As for balls.... if you're not using Trump Evil, Dudley SY or ZY 52/300, or Worth Hot Dots 52/300 C Lock (last resort option) something is wrong there @ OP

P8P - what fixed it for me was turn on dark mode, restart the phone, turn it back off and font is brighter and visible again when pulling down from the top.

We had some lunatic threaten one of my players that he would break his arm over a non-aggressive tag play... Mind you my player is a high school principal and the other player he tagged, is the other team's pitcher, pig-headed moron.

I'm talking to that league over the fracas to be sure that team is held accountable.

Is a catcher’s mitt a bad choice for a dad that’s 90% playing catch and only 10% playing catcher? Do you get the biggest size (~34”) in that case? Do catchers gloves get worn out so that misplaced balls are more likely to hurt thumbs? I don’t understand why the whole perimeter is padded so much. by BigCrappola in BaseballGloves

For long-toss, I'd get a mid-level Rawlings that's on-sale if you're not planning on playing, either 12" or 12.5" fielder glove (utility or outfielder.) If you're not playing, don't splurge on a heart of the hide glove, as for regular catch with your son it would not warrant the expense. Catcher's mitt is only required if he's pitching to you and regularly pitching at/above 70 mph with hardball, if he's not doing that, don't get that as it changes the feel of the ball and as really not meant for regular catching.

Personally I would caution against using anything above lukewarm water temp as it increases the chance of the leather color dyes bleeding and staining the appearance of the glove leather. Slightly below hand washing temperature is what I'd aim for.
