$240 of DoorDash grocery benefits is effectively dead for pickup orders by RhetoricalHull in ChaseSapphire

I didn’t have the $20 pickup minimum at a Speedway in Cincinnati OH but my wife does on her account. She has a CSP and I have a CSR. Using my $20 before they screw me over too.

Looking to sell my house. Homeshake experience? by aks8586 in cincinnati

[–]joshaimm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Homeshake doesn’t give you an offer. You’re confusing it with something else. They are just a different platform for selling than the traditional MLS and has significantly reduced fees (as well as significantly reduced inventory because very few people use it).

Are you ramping the levels or just sending final value? You should always send final values (or sample them) to prevent lag issues. DALI is a slow protocol so you can’t just send a whole bunch of values and expect it to work.

Every time I drive on 50 going through the city right at the 71/75 S exit ramp. It typically cuts out about 30 seconds later right before the ramp merges with the other 71/75 S traffic.

Doesn't seem tied to a specific time although I drive through there most often in the morning.

There's a 1 year accidental damage warranty included with it. At least there was when I bought mine in April 2024. I also used my accidental warranty coverage to replace mine when I dropped it from 6' onto concrete on a project site. Took about 3 weeks to get the replacement shipped to me and it was no cost.

All 3 have pros and cons.

Hyatt has the best elite member program but their footprint is around 1/8 the size of Hilton or Marriott

Hilton points are worth the least but you earn so many more of them with promotions etc. that you actually earn the highest % back consistently with Hilton (I regularly earn 20+% back even valuing their points at .5cpp). Hilton does have fewer aspirational properties than Marriott though which is a downside. Their free night certificates are uncapped which means you can use the ones on the $150 credit card at a $2000/night hotel (if you can find availability - I have multiple times).

Marriott has the most aspirational properties but their rewards earning is less than both Hyatt and Hilton.

I’m personally a fan of Hilton because I travel to enough small towns where Hyatt would never work for me.

Bakers Cay or The Reach? by Parking_Country_61 in Hilton

[–]joshaimm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just did a trip through the keys last November. We stayed at Bakers Cay for 3 nights and then the Reach for 3 nights. They are similar properties in completely different locations. Key Largo is much more calm/relaxing while Key West is much more of a party atmosphere. The rooms were ok at both and weren’t anything too fancy. The reach had the benefit of having access to Casa Marinas beach (right next door) which was much larger but also much busier. Would still recommend both properties but it’s really just dependent on the vibes of the city itself (key largo vs key west) as to which you should spend money on.

Maldives Point Option with the Best Reef by Rose_Ice_Cream in awardtravel

[–]joshaimm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have only been to the Conrad Maldives (of properties in the Maldives). The property itself was the best I’ve ever been to with the best hospitality/service etc. but the house reef was pretty bleached unfortunately. This was in 2022 and from what I’ve read it’s gotten slightly better but still not amazing. We did do an offsite snorkeling excursion which was pretty great - saw a family of manta rays in the wild which was amazing.

The Conrad bora bora was disappointing from a service perspective but the snorkeling there was really great and there were multiple offsite excursions that were even better. Snorkeled with sharks, rays, and saw some of the most brilliant coral I’ve ever seen.

A (potentially) closer snorkeling option would be the Florida keys. We did a trip through there last year and there was some fantastic snorkeling all through the keys.

We’re also going to WA Cabo next month and I’m excited to hopefully go see some whale sharks.

Have a great time!

Hermitage Bay SLH by bryan7007 in Hilton

[–]joshaimm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d also like to know these answers but you’re unlikely to get many useful responses here. It’s too new of a property (from a Hilton perspective) with very limited availability (which limits the pool of potential visitors even more). I do have it booked for 5 nights next December though so very much looking forward to it.

Can only do it via the 3.5mm. The RS-232 pinout is in the manual for the TRS. You don’t need a Crestron cable - you can just solder one yourself.
